Ray Jimenez' 3-Minute eLearning architecture has been a tremendous help for me as an instructional designer moving from classroom to online development. His book provides important information on how students actually behave when learning online and shows the importance of designing with this in mind. Using his direction of finding the "application points" or "must learns" and making them easily accessible meets the concerns of my project stakeholders. Designing links to interactive exercises and reference material caters to our new digital nature of looking for nuggets and moving deeper if we want to. The days of online page turners that force students into taking in "everything" whether they need it or not, are hopefully soon gone. After seeing fragments of this work through the E-Learning Guild and Training Magazine Network, it is a pleasure to work with the consolidated manual. The detailed worksheets in the Appendix are helping me show our web developer how the course will be structured.

In these days of low training budgets, I would encourage any online instructional designer to pick up a copy of this book and build training that gets to the point, and does it faster!
