Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Originally released in 2005 and reissued in '06 on the Minty Fresh label, #3 is actually the first full-length album by the Swedish indie-pop duo Suburban Kids with Biblical Names. (#1 and #2 are EPs.) While the acoustic-guitar-toting Scandinavian pair invites comparisons to Norway's Kings of Convenience, Peter Gunnarson and Johan Hedberg actually hew closer to the eclectic and eccentric sound of fellow Swede Jens Lekman, as revealed on the light, lilting "Funeral Face" and the ridiculously catchy, lo-fi "Rent a Wreck," which features an infectious "ba-ba-ba" chorus. Irrepressibly witty, fun, and happy rock 'n' roll from a duo who sound like children who've played together forever. Exuberant, joyful; it even puts a bounce in yer booty.

Firstly I apologise for the title of the review, I don't know what came over me.

I bought this album on recommendation so I didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised.
What you get from this Swedish duo, is fabulous sunny pop, wry humour and a bucket load of instantly catchy melodies. There really is not a duff track on the album. I guess you'd have to place this in the 'indie ghetto' but I wish so-called main stream pop could be this effortlessly enjoyable.

Go on take a gamble, like I did. If you like your music with some rough edges left unpolished, and full of joyous melodic sunshine, I don't think you'll regret it.
