"3-Way (The Golden Rule)" is Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake's latest mock-rap collaboration, and it's a ridiculously funny send-up of '90s R&B (and any kind of intimate relationship) complete with Lonely Island's signature brand of funny and cleverly written lyrics (filled to the brim with sexual innuendos). As with all Lonely Island singles, they are best seen with the SNL Digital Shorts that essentially bring them to life.
"3-Way" follows Samberg and Timberlake's latest escapade after their time spreading the love in "Motherlover". This time, a female friend (a decent cameo by Lady Gaga) wants them both to give her a "good time" while the two detail what the "Golden Rule" is for their personal decision.
The core joke of "3-Way" is simple, yet how Samberg, Timberlake and Gaga riff on the joke '90s R&B style and over-sing (and pronounce) every innuendo is done with skill and panache.
If you feel like getting the single after seeing the fun and funny video, then you have all the more reason to listen to "The Golden Rule"'s lyrics more closely. While not as memorable as "Jack Sparrow" or funny as previously released Lonely Island singles such as "I Just Had Sex", "The Creep" or "Shy Ronnie 2", "3-Way (The Golden Rule) still delivers the signature brand of Lonely Island's funny and cleverly written mock-rap that is perfect for a good laugh or sharing with your friends (if Lonely Island or SNL's humor appeals to them, of course!).

The other day, I was riding on public transportation, when this song came on. I couldn't help grinning stupidly. Absolutely hilarious (in an inappropriate way, if you swing that way). If you like sexual humor, you'll be entertained by this song.

If your a fan of 'Dick in a Box' or 'Motherlover', then Samberg & Timberlake, w/ the welcome inclusion of GaGa, bring their big bats to bear to close out this trilogy, still feeling fresh. And if this is the 1st you're hearing, go back and vet the other 2 and listen to them all in order; you'll long for the nonexistent album from this made-up, miscreant duo. Listen, laugh, and fall in love w/ The Lonely Island (best fake MC's on Earth)
