Does anyone know if there is any significant difference between the two? I've read that the x360 version has two discs instead of one, but that isn't a big deal since it doesn't split mid-game. I'd just rather purchase the version that runs the smoothest
Im guessing its been lowered because the 360 version is not selling as much, plus like the other two people before me said, Newegg lowered it so Amazon likes to pricematch. i went to Gamestop a week ago to get my money refunded for the PS3 LE version and they still had 2 Xbox 360 LE left. No one was asking for them.
True. But to be honest, who would buy the PS3 version for 40% more? A difference of $10 wouldn't be too much, but if I click on the 360 version and see it at $29.99 there's no way I'm buying it for $49.99. Oh well, I'm still crossing fingers and hoping for a sale.
I just checked VGChartz and it seems that the PS3 version is outselling the 360 one by a few thousands: http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales-data/51649/metal-gear-solid-hd-collection/
It's rare for a PS3 version of a game to outsell the 360 version if the game is in both platforms, but I can see why the PS3 would outsell the 360 one with MGS. I guess that's why the 360 one is lower.. less demand for it.
