This is a gem of a book, combining basic information about the Paelo Diet with delicious recipes and photos. Although the book is advertised as a breakfast recipe book, there are many different recipes that can easily be used for appetizers, lunches, or even a light evening meal. There are also snack recipes that provide a healthy, slightly sweet alternative to the processed or overly sweetened snacks we see so often on the grocery shelves.
I have spent the weekend enjoying my new Kindle Fire and planning for a healthier New Year, so have downloaded a ton of different recipe and nutrition books. I have found that this book and The Ultimate Paleo Diet: Melt the Fats, Lose Weight & Get Lean in 2 Weeks book which is also available for Kindle, are good ways to kick start a healthier eating pattern. While I may not follow the diet exactly, I will definitely be incorporating some of the tips and recipes into our meal plan!

Recipes are simple and so needed if you have a need for more protein in your diet and can't do wheat flour..many you can make ahead of time to reheat.

This book has been a big help to me for the past few weeks. I get all my breakfast ideas from this recipe book. Since I am on a strict paleo diet, I kind of had difficulty preparing my meals. But when I came across this cook book, all of those difficulties evaporated. It provided me with the variety that I needed. In fact, that would be an understatement because it offers 30 different breakfast recipes that are all delicious and nutritious.

I would personally soak (and dehydrate if need be) all the nuts I used before making anything, and would probably use a whole raw egg or raw milk protein powder (from One World Whey) instead of the "plain egg white protein powder.") I find it difficult to imagine our ancestors making much almond milk or egg protein powder when fresh eggs & milk were readily available and far simpler.

I'm finding this quite useful while on an Anti-Candida Diet!

I haven't done the diet yet so I can't speak to that, but the book is packed with recipes that includes all nutritional content. My biggest complaint with these types of diets is their recipes usually consist of products that are hard to find. The recipes in this book are accessible. I particularly enjoyed the selection of smoothies and the breakfast recipes. Breakfast is a hard meal to conquer, and this book does a good job of it.
