4.0 out of 5 stars Great go-to book for inspiration October 19, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Deborah Smit Pegues is a certified behavioral consultant, but she also suffers from some pretty big fears. Because of this, the book provides an in-depth understanding of ratinal or irrational fears and the logical, systematical way of conquering them.

There are Bible verses given to promote a sense of peace. They are scattered throughout, and several verses and prayers are listed in the appendix.

The chapters are divided according to different types of fears. She divides fears into 4 large categories: fear of health and safety, relational fears, psychological fears, and financial fears. Each one of those large categories is broken down into specific fears.

This is a book to keep as a great go-to book for inspiration. Read it, reread it, and recommend it!

Many people aren't aware that they have fear operating in their lives. Unless you can identify the various fears, they may keep you from fulfilling your full potential. It's the #1 tactic of our enemy, Satan, for keeping us from moving forward in our lives. This book explains the various areas we hold fear and how to control them so we're not paralized. Good resource for helping others too. Has some scripture, but is mostly practical in nature.

By Deborah Smith Pegues (Harvest House Publishers, 2011)

Everyone has fears of some kind and this book discusses the foundation of several main fears that people experience. This book offers a vast amount of strategies and resources to help you ease your fears and to help you eliminate them from your life.

Through Bible verses, research, quotes, and stories, the author assists you at determining the root of your fears and works to help you find peace. The author gives an interesting perspective when she defines how fears are interrelated. This book is mixed with insightful tips to better your life by finding contentment and happiness through seeking God.

This book is conveniently partitioned into four key sections for ease of use: Health and Safety Fears (Part 1), Relational Fears (Part 2), Psychological Fears (Part 3), and Financial Fears (Part 4). At the back of the book, there are fear-fighting Bible verses to assist you in your battle against your fears. Being a softcover, pocket-sized book, this would be a great read to take with you to gain chunks of wisdom on the go.
