5.0 out of 5 stars Ergo Grip Bow Saw review
The ergo handle is very practical. Saw is well designed and comfortable to use. It is not made in China which is refreshing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Curved pullsaws are better
I got this saw when I was trying to avoid using a chainsaw for pruning. I was hoping that it could handle bigger limbs and logs than my other handsaws. The saw works fine, and its not that expensive, but it won't get through anything faster, or anything much larger, than my 14 to 16" japanese-style curved pruning saws (recommendations below). For one thing, the diameter...

For one thing, the diameter you can get through is limited by the width; the length does not have much to do with it.
If you want a good handsaw, and don't want to spend much, I would recommend a 13" Corona. Make sure to get a scabbard; how else are you going to carry it? The teeth will cut up anything in your car or pack, unless you make a scabbard out of the packaging, or cardboard or something.
[...]

The Corona 14" is a big step up in efficiency from the 13", more than I expected. I tried all the handsaws at Home Depot and Lowes, and this cuts better than all of them, including the 21" pruning saws (with older tooth patterns). This was my favorite handsaw for several years.
[...]

Then I discovered Silky saws. They are incredible. If you want the best, get one of these. I estimated that this one cuts about 30% faster than the Corona 14" (and remember, that one cuts significantly better than all other handsaws in the local hardware stores).
[...]
This saw makes quick work of 4 to 6" limbs, and it can get through 10-12" logs, if you want to work at it for quite awhile. But I usually go to a chainsaw over 4-6". I like the Husquvarna 440e.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic product but very slow shipping!, March 18, 2008
This review is from: 30" Ergo Grip Bow Saw (Misc.)
You almost cannot find a bow saw that is not made in China now days. This product is very high quality and the exception.

Shipping was very slow. Product did not show up until a week after expected delivery date.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rugged Bow Saw, March 10, 2011

This is a good strong bow saw that rapidly cuts through
wood even when it's wet. I used it to cut down a palm
tree and that's not an easy job for a saw.
