Through the years , nobody has released as many great songs as Mexico's Ana Gabriel. Her raspy voice and profound and abismal lyrics are an enigma that is a pleasure to try to understand. This compilation is just an example of 30 points of view of this enigmatic woman. Every single track is sung as if it would be her last. from "Mar Y Arena" to the amazing "No Te Hago Falta" , she delivers with all her devotion to her ever demanding master , her music. This is a must for anyone who has ever felt frustration, sadness, grief and the bliss that follows. a true artist like Ana is hard to find. One of the things I find interesting is the fact that she decided to omit all her ranchera tracks from this compilation. Could it be because she feels her passion lies not in that style? Even so , this is a crucial compilation , and does good at choosing her best tracks.

Ana gabriel is my favorite latin singer ive been a ana gabriel fan since 1995. When first heard her classic ranchera hit.( es demaciado tarde) that song call still bring me chills, this collection contains it all. Hit's like (LUNA,QUIEN COMO TU,and one of her biggest pop ballads ever (SIMPLEMENTE AMIGOS) simply friends.she wrote for a gay friends, its true powerful lyrics sais how unexcepting sociaty really is.In concert Ana Gabriel delivers triple times to her audience than what you get on a cd, She sounds 3x better is person, She laughs, dances swiftly to the beasts and cries to the feeling on the song. No matter what row you are in you feel her sound. Being dressed so simple the woman looks like a million bucks,(classy) Ilove ANA GABRIEL.. canta mi ANA...... must have album...

well this music I ve heard when I was a little boy, i growed with this music, this music makes me feel so good , so fine, if u are new in this... just buy it! though i am a industrial gothic fan it doesn t matter, enjoy the good music, the best song? simplemente amigos

This CD is great! I can't stop listening to it! It has all of her best hits since the early 1980's to 2000. If you speak Spanish: "¡Este disco es para cortarse las venas!"

Words can't describe the voice and singing of Ana Gabriel, and this collection is a pretty thorough showcase of her work. She's got so many great songs that her "greatest hits" could easily run 4 CDs long. The magic of Ana Gabriel starts with her voice --- powerful, passionate, unique, emotive, raspy, gritty, haunting, and to me absolutely beautiful. Add to that an amazing range, and true singing talent, and you have someone who is beyond compare. In Latin music, there are many male artists who I have a deep appreciation for, including Marc Anthony, Luis Miguel, and Jose Feliciano. But when it comes to female latin artists/singers, my musical heart belongs only to Ana Gabriel. This is an absolutely great collection of songs that I would recommend to anyone. As wonderfully as she sings, it's also very impressive that she wrote the majority of these songs. That just makes her all the more impressive as a complete artist, and not just a singer.

i too grew up hearing her voice on my moms stereo as she sang along with her.
she's got an amazing voice thats so timeless and heartfelt. she puts her entire self into each song so it seems. Her voice is just as soothing as it is powerful.

Im just 26 years old and I love this woman, the way she sings moves every sence in my body. This CD is the best ever I have bought from her. I have most of her Cds and now I just listen to this one. It has it all.
