5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cd, November 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: 30 Grandes Exitos (Audio CD)
These are two great cds showing the feelings of a country: Colombia. Vallenato is more than music, is a way to express out feelings and desires, and Diomedes has done it through his 30 greatest hits.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lo mejor del mejor, January 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: 30 Grandes Exitos (Audio CD)
No one can do rhythmic poetry like Diomedes. The rhythm popularized outside Colombia by Carlos Vives was born deep in the César and Guajira regions. Diomedes was born and raised there and you can feel his closeness to his forefathers in his music. If you listen close enough you can feel the mythical Francisco "el hombre" flowing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Diomedes!, March 25, 2000

This review is from: 30 Grandes Exitos (Audio CD)
This is a masterpiece of genuine Vallenato music. The value of each composition, lyrics, accordion execution and voice quality is definitely high. I hope listeners could go to a "Caseta" with Diomedes in Valledupar to really enjoy the Vallenato experience. This cd is a perfect taster.
