5.0 out of 5 stars A Really Cute Game - Highly Recommended
We love this game! It is full of short mysteries that keep kids attention. The mysteries are very cute and get the kids thinking creatively. To find out the answer, they use a magnifying glass with a red film in it. The film decodes the answer so they can read it. 3.0 out of 5 stars Brain Teaser
This board game makes you think. But some of the "30 second mysteries" are so "off the wall", no one would think of them. Was very simple to play, but not worth the money. Not what I thought it was. Disappointed in the game.

The only problem we have is that some of the mysteries are too hard for our younger child, so sometimes we give her extra hints. Our kids love playing it! We think you should try it!!

What a great game. NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SOLVE IT IN 30 SECONDS. I really do not like the title. I think some people might get disincourage from buying it thinking they have to be extremely smart to solve the case. The truth is our family takes about I think it is a little minutes or so in solving the case or giving up. It is difficult for teens to play alone so Adults play too. Our family loves playing it at parties and get togethers. It makes you think in a fun way. Someone gets to read a short paragraph senerio filled with clues. You figure it out together as a group or can keep asking for up to 3 clues. For each extra clue a point is removed out of 5 possible points. I highly recommend it.

I have used this activity for my speech therapy sessions and it's a hit. This is a great way to target problem solving and critical thinking goals while making learning fun.

In looking at this game, it seemed like it would appeal more to my younger kids (mine range from 9-20), but once the 2 little ones started to play, soon we all started trying to chime in with our guesses for the answers. It's somewhat like the game 20 Questions but with the special magnifying glass twist to read the answer. Not really a game you would play over and over with the same people as you would eventually know the answers to the cards, but a great game to pass along when you're done with it. Encourages you to really think about the answer options.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and great for logical deduction skills, January 4, 2008

I was pleasantly surprised by this game. It is simple yet helps my boys with using clues to come up with an answer. One note of caution, it works best with even number of players as you work in teams. (Also, with younger kids you want more than 4 playing) If you don't play by the rules, it's fun no matter what the number of players!

I watched 4 kids ages 10 to 7 play this game. they enjoyed it, but I think kids over the age of 11 might get a bit bored after a while, as it seemed easy.
