Deluxe 2-disc collection from the British Pop outfit includes songs from every era of their career, stretching from their 1981 debut to their most recent studio album Viva. Also includes an extensive video compilation which represents the first time their videos have been compiled on DVD.

I gave this product 5 stars because it's pretty much the most essential compilation of Bananarama's entire body of work for any fan. I already own most of Bananarama's albums (all the 80s, early 90s and their latest one). I purchased this product mainly for the Music Videos DVD, however having the CD is nice as well since the sound quality seems updated from the original CDs (for example, the volume is higher than their original 80s CDs) and it includes all of my favorite singles. The music videos are great! I've always considered their visual image to be a major part of their appeal. That is not a bad thing at all (I love visual artists...) because the music is great by itself so they aren't just pretty faces, they are pretty faces with talent! Another great thing about the DVD is that it features more songs than the CD. Switching gears, even as a long time fan (I'm sure not as long as many others since I'm only 26, but a fan no less than 10 years) I picked up on a lot about Bananarama that I never quite saw before. They are quite fun and campy (in a good way) and never seem to take themselves too seriously. For instance, the video for Venus seemed comical and cute. As a child watching that video on MTV I mostly remember it being very glamorous and sexual, which it is, but there's more to it than that. They seem to be having pure yet cheeky fun with their image as sex symbols. Another thing I loved watching were the fashions of the times and how the band's image changed over time. They started off cool, tomboy-ish and more urban but then somewhere they seemed to flip the switch and they became hot, ultra-feminine and glamorous! Well, I know a bit how it happened... it goes with how their production and style of music changed (Stock Aitken Waterman anyone?)

After collecting their videos on Laser Disc and some other formats, they are finally here on DVD!!! (Where is "Waterloo", though?)
It is not a PAL DVD, in case you are wondering... The CD contains 22 singles, from "Aie A Mwana" to "Love Don't Live Here"

First off, the DVD is not PAL, it is NTSC. How Amazon got this wrong is beyond me. Buy this set for the DVD. If you are a Bananarama fan like I am, you already have all their music on cd, so the cd is no big deal. The DVD, however is a gem. The videos look and sound fantastic, especially considering many of the videos are 30 years old. I've never even seen most of these videos, so it was a real treat to finally own them all on DVD.

Up until this recent release, the only dvd package of Bananarama's music videos I had in my collection was the November
2007 ETV Network Vital Artists disc containing 10 of their videos, including the rare, magnificent "Venus" extended remix.
For years, I (and many others) have hoped and waited for an in-depth, comprehensive dvd presentation of Bananarama's
fabulous music videos and now this wonderful release from Rhino beautifully does the job. It contains 35 (!!) of their killer
videos (including the 12" versions of "Venus" & "I Can't Help It"). I am a long-time Bananarama collector, and have most
of these in the VHS & laserdisc formats. (After YEARS of looking, I finally located an ultra-rare mint Japanese 8" laserdisc
of their classic videos "And That's Not All", along with the equally rare Japanese 8" laserdisc "Bananarama: Video Singles"
that has the scarcely seen "Do Not Disturb"), but this dvd is what I've wanted for the longest time. I only had 10 of their
videos from the 80's-90's on old sub-par VHS tapes - so GREAT to finally have these on magnificent dvd. I'm in pure bliss
seeing my favorite girl-group in gorgeous, pristine, perfect quality. The people who put this collection together have done
an incredible job and are to be commended. They've even included Bananarama's most recent videos ("Love Comes" and
"Love Don't Live Here") from 2009. Would have been marvelous to have seen "State I'm In", "Mr. Sleaze", and "Waterloo"
as well, but this is minor. It's an answered prayer to have the majority of their beautiful pieces in this collection. Bravo!!

This DVD is NTSC Region 0. Not PAL Reg 2 like as described by Amazon.
There is no Reg 2 PAL version of this at this time according to Bananarama's facebook page.

This is a must for Bananarama fans for one thing only-that is the DVD with most of their videos. The cd is irrelevant if you are a fan you will have them already. Half of these songs I did not know that there were videos for. Alot of them are cheezy by todays standards but if you were old enough to remember when MTV actually played music videos this is a must have.

I cant wait for a new Bananarama cd with all new music!

P.S. Tour the U.S.A.!

30 Years Of Bananarama!
Dunno but it doesn't matter to me because my DVD player plays PAL DVDs...as long as they are region-free, and these usually are...get a progressive scan player...they're cheap, mine's a JVC model.
