Editorial Reviews

From URB Magazine

(Rhymesayers) Mr. Dibbs is a bad, bad man. The foul-tempered, potty-mouthed Cincinnati DJ is the undie scene’s leading thug, a devil-bearded bodyguard for his sensitive emo-rap cohorts. On The 30th Song, Dibbs takes his brutal sound in a (gasp!) more elegant direction, spinning sultry tales like "Outreach 5" and "Rhythmic Soaring." To purists, these tunes might come off as hopelessly middlebrow, but the DJ deserves props for stepping away from his trademark fatalism — even if only briefly. Dibbs dips back to form on the furious "Judeas Transmission," a twisted tour of his dark inner landscape. On "I Hate Greg," an unctuous bass line drips all over a militaristic drum loop, while "Machine" is a nocturnal freak-out sure to induce nightmares in the fainthearted. Capping things off is the astounding "Porntablist," a 19-minute pastiche of orgiastic groans and snatched pelvic thrusts. Never mind your eyes, children — cover your ears.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ladies and Gentlemen, MR. ... DIBBS, March 24, 2003

This album is incredible! It shows the diversity and range of Mr. Dibbs and his growth. One of today's finest turntablist. Another fine record from the Rhymesayers crew.

the only way i'd get this one is on vinyl, and if your into turntables, theres no rapping and this is the weakest rhyme sayers cd i've ever heard,Slugs voice does appear on this cd but its not even song format, dont waste your money on this one
