I believe this book is the most clear, step-by-step, comprehensive and practical daily devotional on forgiveness out there. Sarah really understands the difficulty and the key to true forgiveness - a change of the heart. Daily prayers and reflections are so instrumental in helping you work through the complex issues we deal with when we are hurt. This is a book that can be read over and over again! I have been blessed personally by this book in an incredible way, and am currently reading it for the second time. It's an easy read - perfect for your daily quiet time with the Lord, and heavily scripture-based, so you will REALLY be studying scripture. Thank you, Sarah, for writing this book!!

I can't recommend this book enough. It will bless you! I've read it once but I plan to read it again, this time going through it slowly so I can soak up all the wisdom packed into its pages. 31 Days to Lovely is a book that covers all aspects of forgiveness, all from a biblical perspective. It is designed to be a devotional, with short yet incredibly powerful entries for each of 31 days. But Sarah doesn't stop there. She gives you tangible ways to move forward in your own journey of forgiveness. Sarah's writing is raw and real, and her story will encourage you to lay ALL your unforgiveness at the foot of the cross.

In "31 Days to Lovely; A Journey of Forgiveness" Sarah Valente carefully and intentionally composes a guide for Christian women who are struggling with their walk down the path of forgiveness. This is a beautifully written book filled with scripture and real life application and example. It has the ability to reach into the core of each of us in a way that will make you wonder if these words were intended solely for you. Everyone has been in, or is currently in, a situation that will allow this book to be applicable; it's about more than forgiveness, it's about learning to keep a tender heart in a world filled with hardness. I would encourage shoppers to purchase the hard cover as well, because it includes resources for journaling your own journey through this book. Buy one for yourself, and then buy one for your mother, your sister, your best friend, your niece, your aunt, and any other woman you know; I promise they'll thank you for it. I am a more graceful Christian because of the inspiration and conviction I felt while reading this devotional, and I think you'll feel the same way too.

My wife started reading Sarah Valente's blog and that's how I first heard of Sarah and was introduced to her awesome family, and all the daily adventures of her lovely children. When I read some of the blog posts, I was surprised at how open she was about her relationship with her husband and that she chronicled all of the good and the bad so that others could learn from it. Knowing some of her back story makes this book that much more special to read, but it's not just that I know her in some small way that I recommend this book. I usually skim through books, taking away the main plot and story line and don't get a lot out of it. With this book, I caught myself doing the same after the first few chapters. It's 31 days to Lovely, and even though I'm only on day 10 currently, I've realized that to get all of the wisdom out of this book that I need in my walk with God, I'll need to take it a day at a time to let it all soak in and really learn the concepts that she is trying to teach and be able to make a true life change. One of the things that has already stood out to me quite a bit is that she teaches intentional thinking of things that are lovely and pure and I've decided to act on that and print out some Scriptures that I can post in my cube at work that will help me to focus on those things instead of anything else I could be thinking at work. Thank you Sarah and I love that God is working through you by giving you the words to write this book.

I really love this devotional. I read it through the first time like a book and now I am reading it day by day like a devotional. It is beneficial on many levels, certainly not just from the stand point of forgiveness. Thank you Sarah for your beautiful God inspired words!

This book (blog consolidation) was a wonderful encouragement to me. Is it most elaborately written book I've ever read? No. But did it touch my heart in a significant way? YES! It is easy to ready in short chapters (devotions). It is not short on convition or rebuke - but in a loving way! I'm actually working it into a devotional challenge/time of encouragement for the ladies at my church. Not your typical ladies Bible study; but I think it, coupled with a time of heartfelt prayer, will be a time of great refreshment. I highly recommend this!

I got this book in the mail yesterday and read it cover to cover. I will now start over and do it as the daily devotional it is designed to be. It is one of the most honest, real, and compelling books I've read. It is convicting, revealing, heartwarming, and a brilliant combination of scripture and personal reflection with journal lines to write yourself. A must read for all!

Sarah's honest account of her personal struggles with forgiveness, literally brought me to my knees. As a fellow sister in Christ, her raw account of her personal struggles blessed me. I too, was betrayed by my husband. Reading some of Sarah's feelings, thoughts, and prayers, I felt this amazing connection, as she so eloquently verbalized thoughts and feelings that I have/had but have been unable to express. Her struggles with "justifying" her righteous anger hit my spirit like no other. They are real, they are honest and they it home.I have been praying , seeking the Lord, Godly counsel, but after reading this I have a new hope. I was brought to tears multiple times thinking...she wrote EXACTLY what I was thinking, or am struggling with. I am currently re reading, which I imagine I will continue to do, and finding new scriptures to stand on. Sarah Valente (a.k.a. Kingdom Mama ) is a five year veteran to the world of Mommy-blogging. She began blogging after watching God perform a resuscitation on her young marriage.
