I read this book one day at a time. I saw each day as something to reflect on. I learned so much about my self and my family. I found that I pretty much already live a minimalist lifestyle. I really appreciated the tips on how to declutter some other aspects of my life as well. Working through financial issues is much easier when dealt with one at a time. Thank you for a wonderful read, I have recommended this book to many friends on Facebook.

This book didn't really provide any new tips about minimalism. Additionally, the organization is very poor, making it almost unreadable. It will jump from kitchen to bathroom to bedroom all in 3 paragraphs with no transition or connection between the topics. Also, a lot of the same information is repeated multiple times. I would not recommend this book.

I've been actively trying to declutter, downsize my belongings, and live more simply. That is a difficult task for me for several reasons, one being that I'm a homeschooling parent. This book is useful if it is read one day at a time, rather than all at once. One day at a time makes it easy to digest what the author suggests and to implement it. If you try to read the entire book in one sitting, it will be jumbled and appear unfocused. I don't entirely agree with the author viewpoint on consumerism [paying for quality versus the brand], but I don't have to in order to appreciate the tips surrounding budgeting, revealing my needs/wants, and impulse shopping. I found the information provided around grocery shopping/cooking/kitchen organization to be quite interesting and have seen great effects from following the advice.

The author made good points with his advice, however there was way to much jumping around from one subject to another and then back again.
