My wife and I were given this book by a friend who had been struggling with depression, she said it was her "lifeline to sanity".

For us it has become part of our daily down time of tea and devotional reading. The prayers are nearly straight from the Bible but organized and expressed in such a way that they feed and elevate our souls. And the additonal writings about how to incorporate and enjoy praise in all of life is amazingly insightful and real.

At this moment I'm buying 10 more of these little gems to give as gifts to friends.

The books shows that Ruth Myers speaks from a depth of personal experience which makes the Scripture based prayers authentic and applicable to the believe's life. I am experiencing an awesome walk with the Lord Jesus through, not only reading the book, but also reading each verse referenced in the daily prayers. Meditating on the prayers - making them mine - and letting the Scriptures speak to me continues to be an exciting journey. If you want to understand the ways of God better this book is for you.

This great little book has enhanced my prayer life more than any other resource. I've used it repeatedly over the years to practice the art of praise and thereby heighten my personal prayer experience with God. I speak specifically of the 31 days section in which praise/prayers are suggested for each day.

The Lord has intervened in my life by using this book. Time and again I will pick up this book and on the day I read it, it speaks directly to my current situation. It also has given me a new and fresh perspective on the nature and personality of God and the way we interact with Him. It has helped me rest in God's power and constant love for me. For those who are in pursuit of a closer walk with the Lord and who like to do a daily devotion, this book is a must have! Your praise life will also never be the same!!

In the aftermath of losing two teenage sons in a car accident, I received this volume anonymously. It is beautifully written, concise and Bibically founded. It reminded me of God's true character as He has revealed Himself in the scriptures at a time when I was being buffeted in a storm of very human emotion.I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone of faith who is being tested. A spring of cool water in a very dry desert!

The Myers' have lifted me to a new spiritual level ... the sacrifice of praise! This is a powerful treasure for those who suffer from depression, grief, helplessness, or for those who simply can't find the reasons or words to simply thank and praise GOD. WORD says that GOD inhabits the praises of His people. When these devotions are mediated on /read aloud, you can't help but be in the presence of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I look forward to reading this devotional book daily. It is praise through the word that is very powerful. I plan to purchase many of these books to give as gifts.

I loved this book so much I have made it a part of my daily devotions for the past year. I'm on my 13th reading and am still gleaning tidbits! It is a beautifully written and heartfelt guide to praising our Lord, in all circumstances. There is a section at the end called "Your Most Basic Act of Worship" that I read every day as a beautiful beginning to my day! I would suggest you buy more than one copy because I know you'll want to give copies to your friends! Enjoy! And God bless!

If you have ever been at a loss for words when you attempt to praise God in your personal prayers, this book will speak directly to you as it did to me. It is as if the author knows me, my strengths, and especially my weaknesses. I will read it again and again.

I was given this book as a gift and it has been an amazing tool to take me to the Father. I can't tell you how many times what is written for a certain day lines up with something going on in my life. I've had it for a few years and given many as gifts to friends.
