5.0 out of 5 stars Love this tape Bad!, March 20, 2001
By
This review is from: 311 (Clean) (Audio CD)
I have always been a big fan of rock and a bigger fan of reggae and rap. So imaging my delight when I discovered 311!! I was hooked when I heard "Beutiful Disaster" and "Transistor" The thing is that I heard this album first. I went and researched 311 and came up on the self-titled album.. I heard "Purpose" and fell in love. I recommend this album highly, for those who follw each of the genres mentioned above you'll love these rude boys from Omaha, Nebraska!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The reason 311 became my favorite band, January 4, 2010
This review is from: 311 (Clean) (Audio CD)
I purchased this album in 1996 when I was 13 years old, and it's still one of my all time favorites. This album in particular solidified 311 as my favorite band of all time. The mixture of rock, hip-hop, and reggae along with the signature "positivity" of the lyrics makes 311 an entirely uniqure, one-of-a-kind sound.

4.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME CD!, January 7, 2000
This review is from: 311 (Audio CD)
The only reason I knocked off a star is cause this one's edited. I hate that. The regular one is an easy 5 stars! It's full of cool reggae beats not to mention funky rapping! It's like a cross between the Beastie Boys and the Red Hot Chili Peppers! Throw in a little bit of Sublime and you've got a KILLER CD!
