I just received "The 2320 Funniest Quotes" by Tom Corr and had to put it down after a while to recover from laughing so much! What a fabulous collection on so many different topics and nationalities!! Ranging from Hollywood, Forgiveness,Fashion, Health and Sickness to Proverbs, Televison, Weather and History... to mention just a few. What an accomplishment to find so many quotes about so many different areas of life. It's also a great reference guide to select some quotes for anyone who likes to share laughter through social media;)Plus a great gift! Thank you Tom.

I found the quotes a wonderful way to escape the woes of the world to instead, relax, enjoy what I was reading, and reminisce about the comedic greats. Additionally I found thought provoking quotes from known politicians and well known authors. Tom Corr's book, "The 2,320 Funniest Quotes" added much enjoyment to my Sunday!

As a quotes junkie, I have a ton of scribbled quotes all over the house; but unfortunately some are lost forever. So it's nice to have a published compilation I won't lose and that I can delve into, time and time again. Tom Corr has done an excellent job in what would have been a mammoth task in collecting, verifying, and categorizing more than 2,320 humorous quotes - in diverse areas such as animals, chocolate, education, happiness, life, music, pessimists, friends, and everything else in between; even country-specific quips. If you like to use quotes in your speeches or written works, you'll appreciate the diverse categories where you can quickly source a quote and have peace of mind that the quote is correctly referenced; and that it will make your audience or reader laugh! And if you're after a quick shot of laughter, then this is the perfect book to pick up and get lost between the pages for awhile.

This is an incredibly extensive compilation of funny and witty quotes from philosophers, actors, politicians, writers, and other notable people through the ages (even Homer Simpson!) Don't let the title fool you, there are actually over 2,500 quotes included in this monster. No topic is safe from scrutiny; you'll find quotes about parenting, politics, relationships, business, religion, drinking, and much, much more. Mr. Corr has managed to pack almost six millenia worth of wisdom into one hilarious collection that everyone will enjoy.

There are many books of general quotations. There are relatively few books specifically of funny quotes.

The author of this book operates a website called allgreatquotes.com, which is a great resource. Previously, I used to do my quote searches on Thinkexist, and I still do. The challenge, in finding funny quotes is that usually they are organised by author, a topic search, or a word search, or a specific pattern, but not necessarily a category search like humor. So, when I learned about this book, I thought this a refreshing and different way to look at quotes. And, when I bought it it opened up a whole new world. If you're like me you may discover for yourself a whole new world of funny quotes on a wide variety of topics.

As you can expect with someone who runs a quote website, and presumably loves, and is an expert on quotations, much thought has been put into quality testing the quotes, and producing what I consider to be a high quality collection of quotes. What I particuarly like is that he has gone beyond the usual suspects,who are included, and included some unusual ones, catering to a variety of tastes not only an American palate, or an English palate, or even an Irish palate, but an eclectic variety that will appeal to every palate.

You may not for example have of Joanna Brand, an English comedian, or Hal Roach, an Irish comedian, or you may not have thought Jackie Kennedy was funny, or Alfred Hitchcock, or Sigmund Freud, but guess what?

I took this book on an overseas trip, and inevitably people would pick it up, leaf through it, laugh out loud, and insist on reading the particular quote, in fact several. I made so many notes on my original copy as I like to analyse quotes so I bought a second one.

The quotes are arranged by order of topics, such as: Americans, English, Canadians, Sex, Love, Marriage, insults, battle of the sexes. One of my favorites was dumbest things ever said. Among the many included: Oscar Wilde, Dave Barry, Phyllis Diller, Mae West, George Bernard Shaw, James Joyce, Mark Twain, David Letterman, Rita Rudner, Jay Leno, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams and many many more.
