I recommend this product, but only experienced 1mpg improvement in city driving, not sure if it made any difference on highway driving. Fit was perfect and I like the idea that I can wash the filter and not worry about buying a new one. My car is a Subaru Impreza 2.5i 2008

First and foremost, I'm not a car buff. I have bought a K&N filter for all of my vehicles and so I did with my 05 subaru outback xt. This was the correct filter and took me a little bit to get it installed. Does it improve gas mileage? According to my car's computer computed gas mileage, it has remained on avg about the same (Maybe a .2-.3 increase). This is hard to measure as it could be a number of different things. Does it increase performance, I can honestly say that it does feel like it breathes better and it also feels like it has a bit more pull from the low end. Is this in my head? Probably but then again, I don't have to keep buying cheap filters from the oil change places or the dealer. I've been happy with k&n parts and will continue to buy them even if its just a feeling.

Perfect for my Subaru. Make no mistake, K & N filters are top notch, but beware of people who claim huge improvements in mileage and power (i.e. 10-15%). With the billions of dollars the auto industry has spent trying to improve gas mileage and power, every car made in the world would have these as original equipment if such gains were possible. If life were only so simple. People who replace a CLOGGED filter with a new one will notice an improvement, no matter what NEW CLEAN filter they use. If it's clogged badly enough, the improvement might be that your car runs now). But K & N is definitely better than most in fit and quality, plus being reusable, but a magic bullet it is not. A clogged K & N filter will also cause performance problems, it's just that all you have to do is clean it properly, and you are off and running; whereas with a paper filter, you have to throw it out. Worth the money, especially at 25-30 bucks.

I love K&N filters and have used them for 15 years for all my cars. I decided to replace the stock filter in our Subaru Forester and ordered the 33-2304 based on the sizing chart. Amazon was great and shipped it out immediately and rec'd in 3 days. When I tried to install it, it would not fit. Comparing the stock to the K&N, the outer rubber ring/gasket dims are the same but the actual element portion of the K&N is wider and the Subaru air intake box is too narrow so while it fits on 1 side, it's impossible to close the filter housing.
Amazon was great with the return. I emailed K&N to advise them of the issue and never rec'd a response.

Simple to install and it lasts 50,0000 miles before it needs to be cleaned. That peace of mind and simplicity of ownership is worth the cost.
The fact that there is a slight increase in zip/throttle response is an added bonus.
I have one in every vehicle I own/have owned over the past 15 years. Never had any air filter related problems.

It fits a 2010 Subaru Legacy 3.43R. The engine now sounds a little less mechanical when it revs and I noticed about a 2-3MPG increase. At the price, one would be a fool not to consider getting one.

I have been looking for a great price on this filter for a long time. Easier to install than any filter as it doesn't fall appart when you are trying to put it in the air box. The price I got was almost $20 dollars cheaper than any competitor. I am really happy with this filter. Seems to improve low end torque and power, not sure about any improvement in gas mileage.

bought this for my 09 Subaru Impreza and I have had it in for about a week,I have noticed a slight increase in power and acceleration but havent really noticed any gas mileage improvement in city driving but noticed a slight improvement in gas mileage on highway driving.ive used K&N in V-8 cars ive owned and noticed the power difference so I would recommend this to anyone who wants a little more power and wants too keep there car basically stock and not install a cold air intake type system and possibly void warranty.the filter fit perfectly and was very easy to install with just a screwdriver
