An absolutely wonderful faucet,

This review is from: GROHE 33 759 KD0 Ladylux Plus Pull-out Kitchen Faucet, Stainless Steel/Black (Tools & Home Improvement)
We initially purchased this faucet for a home we built 8 years ago. We liked it so much we purchased exactly the same model for another home. The swivel feature is great for filling pans of water (which you can just set on the counter). The stainless version cleans up beautifully, the pull-out spray feature is nice for rinsing out the sink and larger items like refrigerator shelving. The black nozzle is comfortable for the hand, not cold like I assume metal would be. We have two of this model, one for a 33 x 22 main sink and also a 22 x 18 prep sink. It projects just a little too far for the smaller prep sink, I would recommend the Grohe 33 755 model for the prep sink if I had to do it over. Yes, it is very expensive but you can find deals with some searching.

I liked it so much, I bought a second one! This is the smoothest operating faucet I've ever used. The water comes on and off so softly it's like magic. Such fine engineering makes it a delight to use.

Grohe honors their warranty,
This review is from: GROHE 33 759 KD0 Ladylux Plus Pull-out Kitchen Faucet, Stainless Steel/Black (Tools & Home Improvement)
We installed this faucet in our kitchen in June 2002. It has worked fine ever since. When the spray hose developed a leak near the spray head last week, I called Grohe, told them the problem, and they immediately sent a replacement hose by UPS at no charge. It was easy to remove the damaged hose from the spray head and the quick release fitting under the sink, and install the new one. Excellent customer service!

Poor design,

I just finished replacing this faucet. I've had it for 3 years and had to replace the sprayer line 3 times. The sprayer head fits into the holder at 90 degrees. Over time the connection would come under stress and create a leak in the line attached to the head. I would not recommend this product. There are much better products with better design at better prices.

sleek and contemporary,

sleek and contemporary. functional for regular kitchens. A little expensive, but worth it.Would recommend to friends. Takes a bit to get used to it after having a cheap, 2 control faucet.

Does not provide spray at low flow rate,

From my message to Grohe per this faucet:"I just installed our new Ladylux so we could reuse our old Ladylux in another location. Because I did not like one particular aspect of the operation of our old Ladylux I carefully researched your new description which states "It's design with a dual spray control that easily switches back and forth between regular flow and spray." Much to my annoyance the new Ladylux's operation is identical to the old, to whit: when the faucet is turned down to a low flow rate (to conserve water) the spray mode clicks off and returns to a stream. Had I known this I would have purchased another product. As a Plumbing Products Manufacturer in today's world, water conservation should be one of your primary design criteria. The inability of this faucet to provide an extremely low flow as a spray (which more efficiently rinses the dishes) is inexcusable. It is my hope that you can provide me with a spray head for this faucet that remains switched to spray no matter what the flow or instruct me how to disable the switching feature myself." In all other respects this is a fine product: easy to install and use, well built, smooth operation, attractive. I already own one (17 years and still going)- Grohe has provided excellent customer service several times (new head, new switch cover). I will post Grohe's reply to my request when it comes in

Straightforward installation, although it would be nice to have a helper when actually mounting the unit--one person above and one under the sink.I removed the flow restrictor in the head--wife says it's too powerful--but I like it! Besides, you can always reduce the flow rate. Again, it's nice to work with a quality product! P.S. Be careful with the upper O-ring, don't get it pinched between the faucet base and the sink. |
