You can use this tape just about anywhere, even on wood surfaces, as long as you don't mind the fact that it looks like tin foil. The main purpose is for sealing air ducts, which it is very good for, but it is a good all-purpose tape to keep around the house as well. Better than gorilla tape in my opinion, because the adhesive on it will succumb to heat and come off, this kind won't. Maybe the only thing better than this would be the super-sticky foil tape that is for leak repair (looks like chewing gum almost underneath when you try to pull it off).

I'm a new condo owner and noticed a few "leaky" areas from our air conditioner blower.

Got this to cover them up and it is perfect for what I needed. Did straight lines, screw holes, and even wrapped around a couple pipes. All good.

When I bought a BMW R1200R I discovered that New York State registration stickers wouldn't adhere to the fork in the required location. I had to place it on a frame member because that was the only place it would stick. I was hassled about the placement. The adhesive on this tape is supposed to be very aggressive so I thought I'd try putting a 2 1/2 inch square of this tape on the fork to provide a place for legally mounting the tag. It works perfectly. The tape sticks to the painted, shot blasted surface of the fork and the registration tag sticks to the tape. No more hassles.

One roll is plenty to do a water heater blanket. It made the job look neat and clean and there was plenty of tape to do the entire job. Sticks great. Highly recommended.
