In a word...hot!,

33hz posess the pounding beats and bass of RnB AND the emotion and sincerity of "indie rock" (for lack of a better term). I've never heard anything like it. Think somewhere along the lines of combining Prince, Beck and Usher and you'd be pretty close. They have some fun disco tendencies too. This record is sexy, danceable, and fun. I'd really like to see this band live, I bet they put on a killer show. Either way, this record will make you want to dance or have sex...or maybe both.

I didnt know what to expect from 33hz prior to buying the album because, well I've never heard of them. I felt like buying something completely random. What I found was a refreshing elctro-pop fusion album which I havent heard since say, ever, but has touches of quincey jones influenced Michael Jackson, throw some Rick James in there, has a touch of slow rhythm beats of R&B like R Kelly which I dont particularly listen to but this sounds good! Hell even Gino Soccio discoish stuff. Has a flair of prince lyric style. Bottom line its hard to feel down or in a bad mood when this album is rolling. Im definitely not a dancer but I find myself doing all sorts of foolish body movements without shame.

at first i was skeptical of the fusion of r&b/dance/indie rock and then i realized this is a lot like one of my favorite records of all-time, that's beck's midnight vultures! it's a total dance explosion and at first i thought it was too night at the roxbury but it only takes about two listens to get over that and surrender to the complete catchy awesomeness that is this record. this is a total party bomb!

33HZ is the real deal.,

33HZ is different, not completely defineable in an age of musical conformity. Rythmically dynamic, lyrically interesting and catchy melodic lines are the characteristics of all (I mean all) the songs on this album. When you hook into "If You Want Me(baby)" the sheer energy of the CD carries you through thirteen melodic and powerful songs. Driven by rhythm section brothers, Gabe Moon and Rafe Terrizi, every song gets your knees bouncing and your head(and body, If you choose) dancing. The band is fronted by vocalist and guitar player Benny Lo and keyboardist Tim Wagner and has been compared to Prince, Wham and Devo.
Some reviewer in Denver called this debut stunning. It is! 33HZ just may be the real thing. Check out this CD and prepare for some really great music.

that this is not a funk album, but a pop album with a funk element to it.
This is the type of pop music that the media and people should be paying attention to and giving their money to. This is a great party album that you can throw on from the beginning to the end. Even the couple slow songs have a nice party feel to them. Rock and Pop music has turned into an empty shell of itself in the last 10 years or so. 33hz is a band that represents a time when mainstream music was about people who could write, compose, and actually play their instruments well. When the industry was run by true music lovers who were passionate about being original and giving the audience something new and exciting. Now it's run by a bunch of Harvard business grads that care just about the almighty dollar. They find a formula with the main importance on image, publicity, & merchandising. They copy it & force feed it to us as much as they can, & for as long as they can. They have created an "American Idol/Britney Spears/Rascall Flatts" generation...which is disgraceful. On a side note, Tim Wagner (the keyboardist) used to do a radio show called Essential Grooves at a college in my hometown. He would play a variety of obscure to well known funk tunes. That was so cool...I miss that radio show.

Get ready to rock, ladies. These boys from Brooklyn make music about what's really going on and aren't afraid to share their deep feelings with you. Dare you not to swoon when Benny Lo wails, "I, I am a wounded man . . . " The monster beat sound machine aka Rafe Terrizi and Gabe Moon is a total dance emergency. Get this now!

Finally, some true original, talented pop music!!!,

I knew the lead singer to 33 HZ back in the day when he was planning and scheming... getting ready to drop a bomb like this. Anyone who says this album isn't catchy and fun is literally insane!
