I hope amazon price matches this because I rather get it from them. The in store pre order is 34.99 for the blu ray at Walmart. Saw it today. The website price is the same.

Lucas says:
Maybe you saw the price for the DVD set. I cannot see any store selling this blu-ray set for that cheap, but I could be wrong. Considering they sell new release blu rays for $20-$25.

It is 34.99 for the bluray at Walmart. They have it in their sale paper.

Again, on their website that is the price for the DVD only set. They are not going to sell the Blu Ray/DVD set for $35. It's just not going to happen.

It most definately says 34.99 and if Amazon dont change this price im getting it there.

They had it listed at my local WalMart for $35 as well. It was clearly the BR box, though it is possible someone at the store mixed it up (happens a lot at that store).

The price for the 1st season BluRay for GoT was dropped to $35 at amazon right before release, so I don't know why so incredulous the 2nd season won't be the same. Amazon always pricematches other retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Target etc.

Ice, did you take the picture?

It is in fact $34.99 for the Blu Ray at Wal Mart. It's not that hard to believe, it was the same for season 1 on release. Amazon will most likely match by release. They also had season 1 at that price.

Go to the product page and click the " found item cheaper " link. Fill in the info. I wrote amazon about this and they don't do price matching. But if enough of us report it they will have to.

I bought this at walmart today for $34.99 (in store only). Includes the Bluray/dvd/digital edition, with vudu behind the scenes instantly. Can't watch season 2 on vudu until Feb 19th.

I saw the same thing. BluRay/DVDdigital Edition for $34.99 in store preorder at Walmart, but cannot find it that way on their website. I'd rather buy from Amazon, I hope they drop it too.

C. Pollaro says:
Amazon will drop the price. I have seen this two prior times with the first Game of Thrones and True Blood. When it is first announced, the price is around $70-$80, then a little later it settles in at about $50. As it gets to in a few weeks of release, it will go to $35, then after a week after release it will settle around $45. This has been par for the course with HBO shows.

I didn't take the photo but it is true just like what others have said. I think Amazon will drop the price when it get closer to the date.

I saw the 34.99 price for pre ordering the blueray at Walmart here in Alaska too, sure hope Amazon drops their price before the release date!

Price is still 34.99 at my WalMart. Guess it is going to happen, but Amazon isn't going to match.

NJ Carolina says:
FYI: All HBO Blu-Rays typically release at $34.99 for the first week they are out before jumping back up to $49.99. Same way most DVD's/Blu-Rays start out on sale to get the first big wave of buyers on release week. So, this is standard, and it will most likely be $34.99 everywhere (Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, etc.)

Some Guy says:
No sir. Most of the HBO blu ray sets are $34.99 on the week of release now, and in fact the first season of Game of Thrones was that price. Amazon price matched too. This info is factual.

I purchased the Wal-Mart set. They did a great job of getting the Dark Knight Trilogy to my door on the release date, and GoT shipped to me this morning (though I don't expect to get it until next week). Really hate to not give Amazon my business on this one, but $15 is a pretty big price difference.
