4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
My gloves fit pretty well, just buy the right size. I am in the military and use these, they are durable and comfortable. The material breathes nicely which is important when working in high heat.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, but ok.
I used the Wiley X brand hard knuckle gloves while deployed to Iraq and spent about 80 bucks for them. I figured since they were expensive they were quality and would last...I was wrong. Several stiches busted within a week and the fingers didn't take long to break down in the extreme heat. Now that Im back home I needed a set to go to the range and for training. I saw...

i can not say how much i love these closes specialy compaired to the ones they give us when deploying. leather palms for when messing with rope. no soft palm so they get riped and torn so easy. kevlar knuckles so no worries about hitting them on anything and loosing skin or feeling.

these gloves are GREAT.

These gloves are true to size. Measure your hands. The are tight and I have excellent dexterity with them. They are awesome for landscaping, crawling around on the ground planting flowers, trees, rose thorn bushes, falling branches... I believe I will purchase these for all my crew.

Several stiches busted within a week and the fingers didn't take long to break down in the extreme heat. Now that Im back home I needed a set to go to the range and for training. I saw these moderately priced gloves and decided to try them out. So far so good. The only thing that Im pissed about is that the knuckles on the left glove have come unstiched and unglued a little. They are comfortable, but a little bulky for the range. You cant really feel the triger.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Gloves, October 17, 2010

These gloves are great. I also purchased them one size bigger as was recommended and they fit really well. The only complaint about them is that the thumb fits just slightly too big, but not enough for me to return them (or not wear them). I have hit some hard surfaces and the knuckle and padding on the inside protects great. I have used these to go shooting, hiking and even for working out in the field. Great gloves.

I bought these gloves not for "tactical" use, but to use when riding my motorcycle. For tactical use, they would seem to be perfect as the sizing chart goes. I have no problems manipulating various firearms and equipment with them on.

However, I bought them mainly with the idea of using them as riding protection. These gloves have all the things good quality riding gloves have: hard knuckle guard, kevlar backing that is very breathable, and padded leather palms. And, at half the price of Alpinestars, they sure wouldn't be a bad deal.

I've been wearing them for about a week, and they make my throttle hand cramp in a matter of minutes. While the sizing is perfect for tactical use, when riding, they pull on the fingers badly, which makes them very uncomfortable.

In addition, and this is worth noting for tactical use also, the smooth leather palms do NOT give the best grip. In order to operate the bike, I have to grip the throttle much harder than I did with my Alpinestars gloves. Any long rides cause significant fatigue to my hand/forearm. That, in turn, can be a big deal when it comes to riding safely.

The grip gets even worse when they're wet. When wet, the leather is almost slippery. And that's NOT good.

Don't get me wrong, for the price, these are decent gloves, and they seem to be well made. But if you're going to be riding in these, go a size larger than the chart says.

One final note: When I received the gloves, they stank of diesel, or something like diesel. It took several days for the smell to go away, and it did get on my hands.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not good, July 10, 2011

When I got the gloves, the hard shell knuckle on one was already popping from the seams right out of the package. And the knuckle placement on the gloves are in poor location. Instead of being on your knuckles where it should be, its on the top of you hand and will more than likely injure you before the other party.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Not for rock climbing. Otherwise, perfect!, October 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 3463 Kevlar Hard Knuckle Tactical Gloves (Apparel)
I originally bought these gloves for cold-weather hunting. As others have stated in the description, make sure you measure your hand correctly and get the right size - these gloves fit very snug. These gloves worked great for their intended purposes. They kept my hands warm and free of blisters while still allowing all of the manual dexterity required for a firearm.

Because they worked so well, I started using them for other activities, such as hiking and some light industrial use. If you're an avid hiker and use trekking poles, these are perfect and save your fingers a lot of wear and tear. Likewise, if you have a shovel or pick-axe in your hands all day, these will be a lifesaver.

Then I made the mistake of taking them rock climbing. While they did save my hands from getting scrapes and blisters, the gloves did not survive the 1500 foot ascent up the granite face of Middle Palisade in the Sierra Nevada range. Gloves that had originally shown no signs of fatigue were now ripped at the seams, fingers were torn away, and the padded areas were scraped clean. The Kevlar knuckles were severely damaged and barely survived, but were clearly the most durable part.

Other than that, these gloves were great. I will most definitely buy another pair to replace the pair that I ruined.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, July 27, 2011

this came in the mailbox today so i decided to test it out.
on grip its good for rougher surfaces; also the thumb is a bit big

on position of the knuckles it could be up some because the hard knuckle part isnt even on my knuckles but its still useful
the knuckles are also a bit wider than the width of the glove itself

I bought this product for freerunning and going down ropes because of my torn up hands from doing so.

Overall its a great product and i would recommend it to someone

3.0 out of 5 stars Fairly rugged, but poor quality control, November 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The gloves are a great design, however I was a little dissapointed in the quality control as there was a 3/4" split (not stitched) on the right index finger right where the finger meets the trigger. I like a tight fit on the trigger finger so I ended up stitching the finger tighter anyway but I should not have had to do that. Overall the construction is solid, however this blemish slipped through the cracks on this set.
