Yeah it's cheap, but it's not worth it. The claw is made of hard plastic (not grippy at all, and slips off lots of things), and the grip is more awkward than other claws I've used. There's a lot of play in the mechanism, and the whole thing just doesn't work very well for picking things up.

If you really need something cheap for picking up trash or something, this might work for you. If you want to use it indoors though, this probably isn't the right one to get.

The price was fantastic, shipment arrived intact and on time, and it works perfectly for our intended use. Yard was littered with small twigs, sticks paper and trash from the harsh winter... with two tools, made pickup a lot easier.

This grabber and pick up tool is lightweight, works well and is reasonably priced. I would have preferred if the control parts that one squeezes to manipulate the tool had a softer feel (perhaps rubber vs hard molded plastic).

Exactly what I needed! Simple, and inexpensive this is the perfect tool for me to use to pickup pinecones etc in my yard.

I passed over a $4.99 reacher/grabber at the Home Improvement store because it was too flimsy and cheap.
This one is actually of poorer quality than those.
It's strangely engineered, hard to hold, and most importantly the "jaws" don't line up properly and cross when you squeeze too hard.
Useless. First item I've ever returned to Amazon.

Got this grabber the beginning of last month and now a month later and the handle is plastic and its got a BIG crack down the side of it.It would be alot better if it were made out of rubber so that way it wouldn't crack like the plastic one did.

I tried the Trash Grabber a few times. It works okay. It does what it is supposed to do. It feels a little awkward sometimes. After the first few grabs, my hand gets sore. It takes extra time to pick up some items, like very small pieces of paper, and one can only pick up one thing at a time. It's good for larger pieces of paper. It takes time to manuever to place the trash in your bag because it is long, but a long pick is needed so one doesn't have to bend over. It requires a slight bend.

I'd like to give this zero stars; quality was horrible and it bent upon the 3rd use while attempting to pick up a stack of paper. Don't waste your money!

Not as sturdy as I would have wanted. Also, it didn't lock in place very well. It's ok, but it certainly won't last long.

received with the plastic handle cover already cracked. The pieces fell off after 2 minutes of use. I tried superglue but the crack was extensive.
To save my time,I used ducktape. It looks aweful but at least functional and no one will be tempted to steel this masterpiece from me. It will be a talk point, till the seller read this review and decide to send me a replacement plastic handle cover.
