Product Description

***IF YOU ARE ORDERING FOR A SPECIAL EVENT/WEDDING, PLEASE ORDER TO RECEIVE THEM 7-10 DAYS BEFORE YOUR BIG DAY. DESPITE OUR BEST PACKING EFFORTS, SOIL MAY SHIFT DURING THE RIDE OVER TO YOUR HOME. WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE PLANTS, THEY MAY NEED A GENTLE BRUSH/BLOW OFF, A BIG DRINK OF WATER AND A FEW DAYS TO ADJUST TO SUNLIGHT AFTER BEING IN A BOX-AND THEN THEY WILL BE THE SHINING STARS OF YOUR PARTY!!!**** A succulent is any plant with thick, fleshy (succulent) water storage organs. Succulents store water in their leaves, their stems or their roots. These plants have adapted to survive arid conditions throughout the world, from Africa to the deserts of North America. Fortunately for us, this adaptive mechanism has resulted in an incredible variety of interesting leaf forms and plant shapes, including paddle leaves, tight rosettes, and bushy or trailing columns of teardrop leaves. Succulents should be watered generously in the summer. The potting mix should be allowed to dry between waterings, but do not underwater. During the winter, when the plants go dormant, cut watering back to once every other month. Overwatering and ensuing plant rot is the single most common cause of plant failure. A succulent should never be allowed to sit in water. *Enjoy your beautiful plant!*

All of the plants were healthy, very pleased!

The succulents were placed snugly in the bottom of the box and covered in packing peanuts, so they were protected but could still breathe.

I ordered 2 sets on May 3, 2012 and they arrived six days later on May 9. The succulents came in little plastic 2 inch square pots with the foam peanuts on top for protection.

[Here's a quick tip. Examine your plants and remove any with moist soil. Remove any of the loose moist soil and replace it with dry soil (from a Cactus soil mix) and then put it in a sunny spot to dry the soil. If the soil remains moist too long, the plants will die.]

What you see on the internet is somewhat similar to what I got. The majority of plants are variations of the color green, with a few having different colorations. My packages include different aloe looking types (which are not necessarily all aloes), a light pink plant, a stringy looking plant, plants in rosette pattterns, plants in tiny cluster patterns, and a few plants that vaguely look like variations of miniature jade plants. Some pots have two or more plants in them. Three or four plants have miniature flowering stalks. This is quite a pleasant assortment of succulents.

The vast majority of the plants arrived in fine condition, with some shifting of the soil (as expected) due to shipping. A few pieces had broken off from the main plants, but it's no big deal as I put the pieces in clay pots so hopefully the pieces will become new plants. In addition, since some pots have a few plants in them, I moved a few of the extra plants into small clay pots, making mixed plant succulent dishes.

~~~
The key to keeping your plants alive is not to overwater.
As of May 25, 2012, (22 days after receiving the plants), about five (which were in the plastic containers) have died, because I overwatered.
I bought a set of succulents and a set of cactus for our upcoming wedding. These were top quality specimens. They all seemed to be a different variety, and arrived healthy and beautiful. Both our orders arrived in a day or two. Couldn't be more pleased. These prices and variety are unbeatable in retail stores. I recently went online to order 2-3 more of the succulents to give out to our guests as favors. The succulents were showing unavailable so I called the seller. These have to be the nicest people ever. I was already thrilled with this find, and after speaking to them over the phone I am going to recommend them to all my friends. If you're considering ordering either the cactus (36) or succulents (36) ...do it!! You will not be sorry!...oh yeah, and they are available!
I was concerned with how well these would ship. I was pleasantly surprised! All plants arrived intact, even after watching the post lady drop the box upside down on our porch! I will be ordering again for my next succulent wreath! Oh! And the shipment arrived before it was due by about 2 days!! If I could give 6 stars I would!
I ordered this with 2 packs of 36 cactus's. They looked in good condition. THOUGH, they had packed them on top of the cactus in packing peanuts (not that there was a better way to do it, and The cactus were packed very well under them separated by newspaper and cardboard) But a lot of dirt had fallen out of them upon shipping. Maybe a this side up and fragile on the box would be wise. No real complaints here. No two were the same! (AWESOME) over all I'm very happy.
The succulents arrived quickly and were nicely packed. Unfortunately, a couple of the pots were disturbed but given the mail service, it wasn't a surprise. The collection provided a very nice variety and the plants are growing very rapidly. Very healthy and hearty succulents. Thanks.
I was more than a little skeptical about subjecting a box full of succulents to air travel, but after reading some reviews I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. There was also a Christmas emergency of sorts that required more succulents than my garden could give me right now, so why not?
The order was marked as shipped a few hours after I placed it, and arrived two days later. The box was clearly marked "fragile," and "this side up," and fortunately for me the person who delivered the package could read and took great care these guys arrived safely. The succulents were placed snugly in the bottom of the box and covered in packing peanuts, so they were protected but could still breathe.
I have a shitton of succulents. Dozens of them. I love the little guys and know how to spot healthy from "he's not gonna make it, Sarge" pretty well, and these guys all arrived healthy. I also got 36 distinct succulents - sure, some look similar, but if you inspect the leaves and the rosettes closely it's easy to tell they are all different. My package looked like the photo!
Not gonna lie, I'll probably be buying these again. People love getting these as gifts, and if you're like me and can plant them in your garden these will help build your collection! Just look up the species a bit to make sure they can take the sun and or cold - this box is pretty diverse and some of these guys are more fragile than others!
