Book Description

August 15, 2003
A Francophile's fantasy through and through, 365 Days in France, is an extended holiday in the land of bistros, rolling vineyards, the Champs-ElysTes, St. Tropez, luscious tarte tatin, and Provence landscapes of lavender and sunflowers. And the je ne sais quois of a chance meeting at a sidewalk cafe. Every day comes a lush, full-color portrait, still life, or panorama--a vibrant outdoor market in EygaliFres, a Parisian antique shop, succulent cherries in Bonnieux--reflecting an intense passion for France and an artist's attention to detail.

4.0 out of 5 stars My favorite wall calendar, July 30, 2005
By
Sheri Richardson (Formerly San Jose, CA US, now in the Wilds of OR US) - See all my reviews
For many years now, this calendar has served me well. One month spans two oversized pages and focuses on a particular region in France, and never the same from one year to the next. Wells's text is brief but charming. The cover accurately illustrates the typical assortment of Rothfeld's photographs -- in size, number, and breadth of topic -- that adorn each and every month. Still, generous room is allotted each day for noting appointments, recitals, and what have you. Holidays span US, UK, Canada, and Australia, along with major Christian and Hebrew holy days. One star off for the lack of moon phases.

5.0 out of 5 stars A little reminder of France every day, February 18, 2008
I buy this calendar every year for a friend and myself. We both had a year abroad in France while in college and this allows us to remember places visited and people we met.

I love this calendar. I have another from 2005 which is why I got this one. France is so beautiful and so are these photos. I always dream of going there; for now I just look at the calendar.
