Book Description

August 15, 2003
The ruins. The fashions. The wines. The Sopranos. Vespas and espressos, Bella Tuscany, sparkling piazzas and rustic brick farmhouses, frescoed ceilings, and hunks of nutty Parmigiano-Reggiano. No wonder Italy is the most returned-to destination in the world. For art lovers, history buffs, foodies, romantics at heart--Italy is a place of riches and delights. With hundreds of full-color photographs by Italian Dreams author Steven Rothfeld and knowledgeable text by Made in Italy author Patricia Schultz, this calendar keeps Italophiles immersed in Italy's singular beauty long after the vacation's over.

TO FOOD, TO ART, TO HISTORY, TO LIFE

Live your Italian fantasy, day in and day out. Rolling vineyards and fragrant cypress tress in Chianti. The dramatic cliffs of Positano. Venice's crumbling facades and romantic soul. Lunch al fresco, charming stone houses, limoni, the wild moorlands of Maremma, golden vin santo, the towers of San Gimignano—the "Medieval Manhattan"—and sweets stacked in a bakery window. A place to indulge passions, Italy is a land of deeply rooted character and unparalleled beauty. Featuring enchanting text by Patricia Schultz, author of the #1 New York Times bestseller, 1,000 Paces to See Before You Die, and hundreds of full-color photographs by Steven Rothfeld, 365 DAYS IN ITALY CALENDER is a gorgeous tribute to tutti Italiai and its enduring spirit. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

I had to find a gift for a special woman, she is the mother in law of my sister and is just a sweet heart. We are the best of pals, concidering we both love to cook, she is always talking of the "old country". So this year I seached and found here on Amazon this "picture a day of Italy" 2004 calender and thought it was just perfect for her. I feel it is in the right price range , says what I want her to feel, and dosnt go to the point were she feels she has to recipricate with a gift....just perfect

2.0 out of 5 stars Can never be sure what day it is, May 25, 2004

The photos in this calendar are gorgeous, but I really need a calendar to know what day it is. This calendar has 31 days in February, and Tuesday, May 25 is listed as a Friday. The proofreaders really screwed up on this one.
