5.0 out of 5 stars An insightful, practical, and entertaining book
I am often skeptical of "self-help" books, but 365 Questions for Couples is both a practical and insightful tool. I wish it had been available ten years ago when my husband and I were dating, although it is still useful to our relationship now, and to myself--as a vehicle for self-understanding. 1.0 out of 5 stars a dud
This would probably appeal to teens beginning new relationships. Reminded me of the teen magazine survey ( i.e. who is your favorite rock star?, What flavor ice cream do you like?)

I am often skeptical of "self-help" books, but 365 Questions for Couples is both a practical and insightful tool. I wish it had been available ten years ago when my husband and I were dating, although it is still useful to our relationship now, and to myself--as a vehicle for self-understanding. The tone is serious, but fun; probing, but not over-the-top. The authors' extensive experience with couples therapy is readily apparent in this sometimes surprising, always intriguing, collection of questions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent way to reconnect with your partner, June 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: 365 Questions For Couples (Paperback)
This book has helped my husband to open up to me about his childhood, his dreams and his goals. I never would have thought up these questions on my own, and I now feel like I have a much better sense of his personality (and my own) after going through the questions. Even though there are enough questions here to inspire a year of interesting conversations, we tore through them and finished the book in a couple of weeks. We hope the authors come up with a new book quickly!

If asked, I would've said I knew pretty much everything about my husband from his past experiences to his future hopes and dreams but "365 Questions for Couples" has proved that wrong! This book of 365 questions has facilitated new discoveries and lots of great conversations. I highly recommend it if you're trying to get to know someone better or if you thought you knew it all!

I bought this for my husband for our anniversary, thinking it might be a fun conversation piece. Instead, I found a lot of boring questions that most married couples would have to know anyway before getting married. This book would be much more ideal for a high school couple or for just snagging at your bookstore to flip through with a group of friends while you sit at the coffee shop. I was disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for Teens, February 4, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: 365 Questions For Couples (Paperback)
I felt there were too many questions that were simply irrelevant. There needed to be more questions that really got to the heart and core of relationships like finance, religion and philosophy of life.

I'd highly recommend 1000 Questions for Couples instead which I thought covered all the bases very well.

This book is wonderful!!! It provides many though provoking questions. It really helped my husband and me to get to know each other again!!! I highly recommend it. We are now addicted to question books, and each other instead of tv.

I was looking for a book to get to know my husband better. This one was okay but I already know a lot of the answers. There needs to be one for couples who have been together for many years and want to learn newer deeper things about their spouses. However, I have pulled some of the questions to use with my pre-maritial counseling clients and I think it is great for them.

I love this little book - it really helped my boyfriend and I to sharing our thoughts and feelings. The more you ask, the more you reveal to each other whether you are compatible and like the person in front of you or NOT. I think it's helpful for couples to have these questions handy and introduce them into conversation. We have to be willing to ask questions and know one another well if we are going to invest our time and energy into someone.

3.0 out of 5 stars Be Sure You Want to Know the Answer, November 20, 2008
This review is from: 365 Questions For Couples (Paperback)
Yikes - we've had this book for ages, every once and a while we pull out this book and discuss some of the questions.

Well - recently we had some friends over they picked it up and asked a few questions - YOWSERS. Be sure you really want to know the answer.

This book is about 5.5 inches by 3.5 inches, there approximately 206 questions averaging about 2 questions per page. Some of the questions are friendly conversation starters - "If you could pick the country of your birth..." Others can cause problems if you don't really want to know "What is your best $#*ual memory?"

The only "rule" to the book is that you can not ask a question you yourself would not answer. Oh - and there are no right or wrong answers.
