My daughter has not been able to put down a book from this series. I have even read them. They are fun and take you all over the world. I highly recommend!

I am getting this series of books for my granddaughter. She loves the books and the cards and likes to get on the web site that they have for this series. I think she will be sad when they are done.

I started collecting these cards and the books they go with as part of a review for a school library's purchasing system. I found the first and second edition of the card pack set up so that you had a reasonable chance of physically collecting all the cards in the series. The card packs also allow you to collect a virtual copy of the card through a "card replicator" system. However, the third edition has turned out to have made it nearly impossible to physically obtain every card in the set. The card replicator process means that you can get a computer copy of the missing card which will work for the associated game, but some physical cards are not present in the packs, despite the fact that I've purchased nearly twice as many of the card packs in this edition as I did in the first two editions combined. I don't know if this intentionally planned by the publishers as part of the ongoing kids contest, or if this is just a coincidence. I'll know more once the fourth and final installation of the card packs is in my hands. My ratings: 1st edition, A; 2nd edition, A+; 3rd edition (this one), C+.

These are for my 9 yr. old. He's nuts about the kids' adventures and learning about the world. He enjoys the story and collecting the cards!
