The comedic play, a send-up of the Hitchcock film "The 39 Steps," featured recorded music played during the performances, and this is a collection of that music. A lot of it is from Hitchcock films, but some isn't. However, it's an enjoyable collection for those who have seen and enjoyed the play, or those who have a passing interest in film music. The perfomances are not bad, and if you don't have any music from these films, you would enjoy it, however, I have heard better performances of most of the Hitchcock music on other CD's. Still, this collection is a pretty good one.

I feel that this recording gives you all the suspense of the theatrical version of 39 Steps! It is a brilliant piece of theatre and listening to all the "Hitchcock" themes is great plus the extra music - spot on you caught the spirit of 39 Steps
