My daughter wanted a journal for her 8th birthday and this is the one she chose. She asked specifically for one with a lock and key. With the cute, girly polka dots and an adorable kitten, it was just what she wanted. She loves it so much, in a matter of two weeks, she has already filled many pages with stories and drawings and anecdotes. Totally worth the investment!!

After reading my 8-year-old a diary I kept when I was a child, she wanted one of her own. The lock isn't the easiest to open, but she likes it. It's a really nice size for her.
