The 3B Scientific A05/1 life-size disarticulated human skeleton is used for anatomical study. The model’s skull dissembles into three parts for effective demonstration, and has a sectioned calvarium and a hinged jaw for detailed examination. The A05/1 has a wire-mounted hand and foot and a loosely articulated hand and foot to display natural movement, and its intracostal cartilage is attached to the sternum for further study. The model has a partitioned cardboard box for transport and storage, and is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, which is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength. PVC resists reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. The model’s storage box measures 19.1 x 10.6 x 16.7 inches/48.5 x 27.0 x 42.5cm (L x W x H). (L is the horizontal distance from left to right; W is the horizontal distance from front to back; H is the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point.) Anatomical models are typically used as educational aids in medical and scientific classrooms and office settings.
