The 3B Scientific A20 is a three-part adult human skull model that dissembles into skull cap, skull base, and mandible for easy display of cranial features. The A20 has an original human skull cast to provide accurate representation of fissures, foramina, processes, and sutures, and each tooth is individually cast to provide realistic dentition. The model is handmade of plastic for durability, and its mandible is spring mounted to demonstrate natural movement. Anatomical models are typically used as educational aids in medical and scientific classroom and office settings.
The model measures 20 x 13.5 x 15.5 cm/7.9 x 5.3 x 6.1 inches (H x W x D) and weighs 0.6 kg (1.32 lb.). (H is the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is the horizontal distance from left to right; D is the horizontal distance from front to back.)
3B Scientific manufactures anatomical models, simulators, charts, and other training materials for use in scientific, medical, and patient education. Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, 3B Scientific meets ISO 9001: 2008 standards.

The college I've attended has real skulls so I've had a chance to study the real thing and this one seems to be fairly accurate and has enough detail for my needs.
For example, there are representations of the sutures around the skull.
The jaw is removable and the teeth seem fairly realistic.
Inside the eye sockets is the only area where the details are off. The "channels" in the sockets are uniform and not at all accurate when compared with a real skull. On the other hand, I looked at much more expensive (2.5 times more) "museum quality" skull models and they seemed to have the same issue.
I might take a rotary tool to school and carve these channels to make them appear more accurate.
Otherwise the skull feels sturdy and well constructed.
This skull was an affordable option for me and I'm glad to have it.
The one I received was damaged out of the box: two cracks and a few chips.
Thankfully, Amazon is great and took care of me.
Second, the skull is very detailed
which was important to me since I would be using it to study for a head and neck exam
On first glance it doesn't appear that all the tiny foramen in the skull base go all the way through...but this isn't a real skull
and at the price point you can't expect to do it all
Third, it's a great presenting piece for enthusiasts or artists.
If you are a student, you won't be disappointed.
Notably, though, the skull is completely missing the posterior ethmoid foramen (hole for the posterior ethmoid artery), the anterior ethmoid foramen (hole for anterior ethmoid artery) is indicated as a notch rather than a hole, and the cribriform plate (bone where olfactory nerves enter the brain) shows no openings for the nerves to pass through. (Please note the list of the missing may not be exclusive).
The frustration with this product is that it feels so much like an educational tool that when I find fault with it the level of disappointment is amplified.
If you are studying anatomy in depth, I would invest in an omission-less model. If you want to get a decent grasp of an extremely complex structure, this skull is for you.
As another reviewer said, if you're a student, you won't be disappointed.

Was excellent for school before we got to real skulls. Now makes a great realistic desk decoration, and a reference when I need it.Published 5 months ago by David
I purchased this recently to supplement my neuroanatomy studying. I am a med student, and there are a lot of different structures and landmarks that I need to be able to identify. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Pete A E
I'm sure it scared my jerk-face neighbors when they deliberately opened my package! Very realistic. No complaints.Published 7 months ago by Reviewer
I bought this skull model for at-home study. It's almost completely accurate. The biggest issue I see is a not-so-well-defined cristi galli and cribiform plate. Read morePublished 7 months ago by keith rieger
