A way to upgrade your computer without problems
Nowadays with technology surpassing it own limitations, I lost the ability to surf using my old but standard wireless 11b receptor. Range is very bad
Unless your accesspoint is very close, do not buy this unit. Was only only 15-20 feet away from a 3Com Accesspoint, through 2 walls, and was only getting 3 out 5 bars.

Nowadays with technology surpassing it own limitations, I lost the ability to surf using my old but standard wireless 11b receptor. Instead of buying a new machine I chose to try the Office Connect 54 Mbps 11g Compact USB Adapter.It worked on both Linux® and Windows ® operating systems. In fact, on Linux®, it basically installed by itself. On Windows®, we followed the installation manual and where up and running quickly. Its capacity and range are good enough for our office, considering the walls and other hardware nearby. In these critical times, we have saved a bundle maintaining our communications without investing on new equipment, while maintaining total congruency and functionality. Well done.

Excellent product. Took me longer to extract from the hideously wasteful packaging than it did to get working. Transformed my UBUNTU desktop from a solitary workstation to a member of the electronic community. Operates consistently at > 1.5 times specified band width.
