This 3D Blue Ray is Outstanding!
Timothy T. Santmyer
This video consists of nothing more than fish swimming around aimlessly inside of fish tanks.

I bought this and was really looking forward to it. It's pretty cool for 5 minutes, but is actually really disappointing.

Basically someone just set a camera OUTSIDE an aquarium and filmed it. Because the camera was outside the aquarium the fish never really come out of the screen cause they can't get close enough to the lens to really maximize the effect.

What's worse is when they were filming it they basically just picked one spot in the center of the aquarium and focused on that. So when the fish do come to the edge of the tank getting what little 3D "in your face" effect you would normally get, the fish are out of focus and it kills the effect.

It is very pretty, with lots of fish and the 3D background depth is pretty good. I'll call it a near miss, but honestly, it could be sooooo much better.

The quality is up there with Imax visuals, very realistic when in 3d. I have a vizio passive 47 inch tv that I am using to view content, I cant believe how much I've used this in the last 2 days, very relaxing, wish it had Jellyfish, No complaints though, its to beautiful to get board with this 3d Blu-ray anytime soon.

This item is definitely for those who like to spend their time simply gazing into an aquarium. Anyone else might be bored to tears after 15 minutes (or less). It's kind of a Zen thing.
The 3D effect makes your TV look absolutely like a real aquarium (I recommend the "natural" sound track), and you shouldn't expect to see the fish floating out in space toward you - because they don't do that in a real aquarium do they?
I dig the little diver holding the treasure chest lid.
Wait for it - Wait... for... it... his little hand trembles... up goes the lid!
Zen!

I just got this 3D Aquarium disc today. There are 70 min of awesome 3D in this video. This disc will be my new demo disc when friends come over. The picture is so clear. The disc looks great in 2D also, if you want to leave it running. My new fish tank.

This is obviously filmed on the outside of aquarium, so the 3D I saw was the depth behind from the glass. The pictures are sharp (99% of the time). Music goes along with the flow.

A LG HDTV passive 3D demo I've seen in a local electronic store showed fish sticking way out of the screen toward me. I would consider that worth demonstrating over this. But regardless for the price it's a good to collect if you are hungry to collect 3D titles.

This has nice looking video of numerous aquarium tanks stocked with a variety of fish and other creatures. The 3D option is interesting for short periods of time, but not practical . . . not until 3D TVs that don't require glasses become the norm. This video doesn't actually fit my needs, which are probably different than other people. I don't want artsy shots inside a tank with zooms, pans, etc. I don't want the camera following a particular fish or documenting an encounter of two different species. I just want the entire tank framed in the video and left there, that way my plasma TV will look like a big aquarium and the video just loops over and over. This video disk has big aquarium shots but switches to close-ups as well. The grandkids are fascinated with the videos and the 3D is a nice bonus. A good value purchase.

I received an advance copy of this from Lightspeed Design. I played it in both 2D and 3D on my new 55" Toshiba. The visuals are stunning and beautiful in both 2D and 3D and the music really enjoyable. I am not a fan of the high priced bundling the big boys are doing to justify a premium price for 3D DVDs. This excellent project between Seattle area companies Topics Entertainment and Lightspeed Design Group deserves support. Whether your TV is 2D or 3D it makes no difference. Insert this DVD, relax and enjoy.

While this delivers on its description, it is after all shots in 3D of a fish take. So don't expect much else. 3D is good. Neet fish. The 3D effect is very good and you might get attached to one or two of the fishes. Maybe name them? Some of the fish you find yourself following. Like they know you are watching them. With the 3D you start to wonder just who is watching who here? Some of the fish tempt you. They even act like "oh..Im on camera am I? Well I may look funny but you're pretty funny to look at too". It is interesting to watch some of the stranger fish move around. The shells alive and moving was new and different. But in all reality, you will probably watch this once or twice on your own, then put it away. Only to get it back out to show friends or visitors. It shows off 3D pretty good. Not worth over $10 - $13, thats for sure. It's a 3D fish tank after all. That's all it claims to be and that is all it is. Don't expect to see Johnny Depp coming along popping out at you in his pirates outfit, or mean angry fish fights. Like the box says... it's a "3d fish tank". But its pretty fun 3D. And the starring fishes and sea creatures earned their pay. Two music tracks to chose from, or just fish tank sounds with no music. I preferred no music, just the gurgling water. But I swear, that one fish with the big yellow lips was taunting me and kept looking, peeking at me to see if I was looking back. I named him Fred the 3D fish.
