Product Description

The 3D Touch (formerly BFB 3000 Plus) 3D Printer - Double Head. Bring your 3D models and CAD drawings to life with the 3D Touch 3D printer. With its clear and open design and simple interface, the 3D Touch 3D printer is ideal for the home, classroom and office environment. Create prototypes, models, RC parts, toys...the list is endless! 3.0 out of 5 stars A tweaker's machine. November 5, 2012
By femur
We use this machine at a school I work at and it's hit or miss. It has good printing streaks and then there will be hours of tweaking to get it to print well again. I've had lots of material feeding problems and the tip cleaning method is hit or miss. It's better than nothing but not great for lots of regular use like in a classroom. It's not a high end machine. For what it is, it's decent but plan on some tweaking and modification now and again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid but pricey consumer 3D Printer August 24, 2012

This is not an entry level 3D printer, so if you are new to the technology you will likely frustrated by this product. However if you are a Maker with RepRap experience and are seeking a mechanically solid machine with 125 micron layer build heights (and you have a fat wallet) this is a great machine. Note, this is not an open source machine so if modding is your game stick to the RepRap world. But if you want large build size, fine layer resolution (for today) and solid mechanics, if you are ok being tied to 3D Systems proprietary world. This is not an entry level 3D printer, so if you are new to the technology you will likely frustrated by this product. 3.0 out of 5 stars Not Very Impressive April 3, 2012

I just started to setup this machine which I bought from a local distributor. My first impression is that it's not a very robust machine and will require a lot of TLC to make it work. The first big hurdle I had was that the test build file that they provided for the user to setup their machine has a filename that was too long so it wasn't recognized by the machine. Of course it takes hours to figure out what the problem is albeit a simple problem. If the manufacturer has lets stuff like that go out, then I'm worried about what else may be in store. As far as build quality, I haven't done too much, but this is a pretty low-end machine, so my expectations are also low.
