A new world of possibilities with Director!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 3D for the Web: Interactive 3D animation using 3ds max, Flash and Director (Focal Press Visual Effects and Animation) (Paperback)
This book has really gotten me excited about using Director's 3D capabilities. For the most part it provides clear information and great examples plus code the reader can adapt to his own uses. It also suggests directions for further exploration. I personally have found it frustrating that the authors did not go into more detail on some of those suggestions as I have difficulty writing Director code, but that has motivated me to put more effort into learning it. Unfortunately, the completed examples of the game that the authors indicated would be posted on their web site are not there and it is difficult, if not impossible, to contact them. Also, Director seems to be stalled at this time although Adobe has made repeated promises to upgrade it so that it works better with Vista. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in 3D for use on the web.
