3GJuice doesn't actually manufacture this product. They brand it and sell it as their own. It may be a great way to charge your iPhone, or other device, multiple times, but a search of Amazon will save you $20.

I emailed the seller of the other product, AMAXPOWER -- they responded both products were identical, just branded differently. I also emailed the same question to 3GJuice, they didn't respond.

I fly every week to my work location. So I spend a lot of time on planes as well as I spend a lot of nights in hotels. I have a lot of electronic gadgets that I take with me and each item requires a charger. So I end up having to carry a lot of AC chargers with me. I recently purchased the iTouch and the battery just does not last very long when I use it on my flights. I did a search and came across this item. Although the price is excessive, I decided to go ahead and purchase this item and when I got home last night, it had arrived so I immediately charged it. It comes with a lot of tips so I thought I would try it out on my various devices. Today I tried it out on my various items and to my surprise not only did it charge my iTouch, iPod Nano, Blackberry and Motorolla roker phone, it also charged my HP IPAQ AND it even charged my Amazon Kindle 1!

This item will definetly come in handy and I will be able to leave all of my AD charging adapters home and just take this one item with me. It does not take up that much space and is not all that heavy.

But considering the high price of the item, they should have provided a carrying case / pouch to keep all of the tips and the charger in.

None the less I will be using this item a lot to keep my electronic gadgets charged and I will not have to continue to carry all of my AC Adapters any more.

I'm a complete gadget freak. Whether I'm out and about using my Voltaic solar powered backpack or lugging around countless electronic gadgets and power adapters everywhere I go, the iPhone is the one gadget I can't leave home without. When I'm home or in my car, I've got my power adapters set so that I always have a charged iPhone, but when I'm traveling, it's all too easy to forget something. Worse, now that I've been doing 13 hour international flights several times a year, downsizing my travel load is a necessity...pulling out my laptop to keep my iPhone charged is inconvenient in an already cramped airline compartment. The 3G Juice solved my problems and has even replaced the need for a power adapter and converters for international plugs. The best thing about using the 3G Juice is that if my battery does completely die, it'll power the iPhone back up immediately, not minutes later, so nonstop use of my iPhone is a reality.

All in all this is a great product that does exactly what I was looking for - it gives me the freedom to charge my iPhone while traveling internationally without having to be obsessed with conserving the battery during long overnight flights as well during long periods of time on trains.

I have used the major mojo to charge my iPhone 3 times without having to recharge the mojo battery and according to the LED there was still some charge left in the battery. The time to fully charge my iPhone seemed to be a little more than an hour but I have to admit I never really timed it that closely.

The little LED flash light is a nice touch as well as a plethora of accessories to charge other devices that was included with the major mojo. The weight of the device is surprisingly lite considering the "juice" it provides in such a small package.

Everyone who depends on their iPhone for business and travels extensively should have one of these in their bag...

It's been more than 2 years since I first purchased the major mojo and its still going strong..and I use it a lot. I use it for my iPhone3 and iPhone4 as well as my Kindle. This is one of the few electronic products that I would say that if I could give it an extra star - I would - because it has performed so well.

An excellent product that works as advertised but which also provides an unexpected benefit. When charging an iPhone the Major Mojo and the usb connecting cord also serve as an auxiliary antenna and they significantly increases the signal strength as shown on the iPhone.

My MAJOR MOJO just arrived and WOW...Impressive!

The construction of the device is VERY solid & professional. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy in any way. I don't plan on doing it, but I feel certain that if I were to drop it on concrete it would be just fine.

It came with a very large array of device tips. I most likely wont use any but the iPhone tip, but it's good to know they are there if I need them. You really don't even need the supplied cable & tips as you can use your existing iPhone cable and just plug right into the USB OUT port.

A "wall wart" style power supply is included, but this is necessary to charge this beast. Using the 5 Volt USB port to charge it up would take all day, so they provide an external charger to juice it up fast. It's powerful too...1 Amp! You can also plug up your phone and charge both simultaneously.

It works as it should. I plugged up my iPhone, hit the power button on the MOJO and "Beep!" charging commenced. I really like the status lights which show your remaining charge as well. Oh...and they even put a hi-intensity LED on the side so it doubles as a flashlight. Nice touch.

The negatives?

1 - It's large and has some heft to it. Not something you would carry around in your pocket all day. Most likely you will leave it in your car/purse/laptop bag until needed.

2 - It's EXPENSIVE! But for someone like me who NEEDS lots of extra juice and doesn't want to carry around multiple batteries, it's a lifesaver. After using it for a few days, I believe it is well worth the price tag and is REALLY going to come in handy during those long plane flights.

All in all, I give it two thumbs up.

They certainly gave it the right name...this IS "MAJOR MOJO"!

No more concern about my battery levels while traveling thanks to this product. Not only am I able to recharge my iPhone, but also my wife's. What I love is you can plug the iPhone into the Mojo and when the iPhone is fully charged (which doesnt that that long) the Mojo will turn off on its own. Easy recharge of the Mojo device...simply charge it overnight, and your good to go.

I bought this item because I was going to Singapore and the total flight time (with connections and layovers) was going to be well over 24 hours. I had heard horror stories about people getting on these flights and the screens for in-flight intertainment not working. I saw this 3GJuice, read the claims and reviews and gave it a shot. I never ran out of power for the entire trip. I only had to use it twice, but it worked great. I also tried it out on my Blackberry 8830 as well as my Motorola V3xx and it worked great with both of those items, too. I would highly recommend this to anyone that needs emergency charging power for your iPod, cell phone, PDA, whatever. Make sure it has the adapter for your device included, though.

If one could give two separate ratings, one for the product, the other for the company itself, my rating would be 5 stars for the product and 10 for the company.

Having just purchased my first Iphone, I was appalled at the quickness in which the power drained, even when doing nothing. I went online, learned how to turn off all of the juice sucking processes, which did improve battery life somewhat, but not nearly enough. During the online searching I ran across recommendations on add on charging products.

3GJuice was consistently rated the highest, so I decided to purchase one. I was heading overseas in a few weeks, Amazon showed they were back ordered, so I went to the manufacturer's website. Turns out you can only purchase the product through Amazon. So I ordered it and hoped for the best.

A few weeks went by, I was getting concerned, when I received an email from the president of the company. He was apologizing for the delay, but was offering all of his customers some options. One, a five dollar credit to continue waiting, two, a free upgrade to the more expensive "MAJOR MOJO" 5400 mAh for iPhone, three canceling the order, four, accepting his apology and continue waiting.

As I was getting ready to leave, I opted for the upgrade. Two days later, this model was available. Based upon the contact with the president of the company, I went ahead and ordered this model which did arrive before I left.

Well, boy am I glad I'd been given the upgrade. I traveled from Oregon, to California, with a 6 hour layover in San Francisco Airport, a 5 hour flight to Washington D.C., 2 hour layover then off to London. The "MAJOR MOJO" kept the the Iphone completely charged throughout that entire time including 3g connections, wireless, and non stop Ipod playing. The only downside to the "MAJOR MOJO"is it's size.

Enter the 3GJuice Black 2.0. Throughout London, I was able to be on 3g the entire time while sightseeing, dinning, trying to find my way around, checking voice mail, and sending emails. The Juice 2.0 performed like a champ. I was able to be worry free for at least 18 hours a day, using it, though it might have lasted longer, but I'd chuck it in for the day after that long.

The simplicity and quality of both products are outstanding. I'd run into people at the airports with their Iphones waiting for an electric plug to become available so they could get a charge before their phone died, or their flight left. Some folks saw me using my Iphone for hours while they waited. I was asked how I was getting such great battery life out of my unit. I showed them both products and gave them my hardy endorsement.

On the way back from London, I ran into someone I'd seen on my way to London. He'd purchased a 3GJICE 2.0 was pleased with it, and ordered the "MAJOR MOJO" which would be waiting for him when he returned home.

Both of us were enjoying our Iphones this time, while watching other Iphone owners scrambling for the occasional available plug. We nodded to each other, and he approached a few folks telling them about his pleasure with the product.

Now, I've seen some people posting they've had some issues with the 2.0. I can't speak for them, I can only say I've not experienced any of those issues. However, based upon the manner in which the company dealt with us from the get go, I'd expect any problem will be addressed promptly and honestly.

I've also read postings that this is the same product as a lower priced different branded unit. That may be so.

I can't speak to that company or it's customer service philosophy. I can only speak to 3GJuice, and I've found no better company to do business with.

Being a 'power user' of the iPhone 32 GB 3GS, I frequently find my battery life down to critical levels. Using Wireless internet and intense graphics for games really limits my use when I am away from a power outlet or outside of my vehicle. I tried a case with an integrated battery but found a loss of cellular signal to be unacceptable. Thus, I decided upon an external battery source to serve as a backup battery supply.

There are alternative external battery options that are cheaper in price, but after reading the various opinions of how each one operates, I chose this one.

SETUP

The unit must be charged completely before use. It is recommended that the unit get charged every six months. The manufacturer states this will last about 600 charging cycles. It takes 3 hours for a full charge and the status of charge is noted by 5 red LED lights. This also has an LED flashlight, which I question on functionality.

CONSTRUCTION

The top of the unit has the USB out and AC adapter port. The front of the unit has a status light, as was mentioned before, and the power button which turns on the unit to charge your electronic device. With the iPhone in the off position, you get about 3 charges. If you are using an iPhone with less than 10% battery life, you will get about 2 charges if you are using the 3G, Wi-Fi or Edge networks.

The unit has a glossy black finish with chrome accents. The retractible USB cable does not appear to be well designed and will likely break with repeated use; however, the USB cable that accompanies the iPhone works just as well.

This unit has no carrying case but I will probably get one to minimize scratches to its exterior design.

CONCLUSION

Excellent source of backup "Juice" when on the go!
