interesting tape,

It's almost like regular two sided tape, but thicker and less sticky. The plastic part feels more thick and rubbery than standard scotch tape and it seems to conform to bumpy surfaces better. It doesn't seem as sticky - but that's a good thing because it's supposed to peel off the wall without leaving adhesive and marks.Over all, it does a decent job. No idea (yet) how long it will hold things aloft. A 1" piece has been holding a tin of starbucks gum on a cabinet door for a few days. No drama. On the other hand ... The roll does have a few warnings on the back: "Note: Removes cleanly from walls. May damage poster upon removal. Not recommended for use on wallpaper, delicate surfaces or walls painted with flat paint." My intuition is that this stuff would be great for beiber type posters because it minimizes damage to the wall and the posters will be replaced with something else in a year or two.

I like to make 20x30 enlargements and put them on light (not heavy) foam poster board. The trick is trying to hang or otherwise affix them to the wall. It may be the type of paint on my walls, but this stuff does not work well in my home.I tried it once a long time ago and just recently decided to try again. Who knows, "Maybe I'll have better luck this time," I thought. My wife scoffed as I proudly joined her for a night's rest. "Have faith," I said, "It won't fall down this time." As I peered through the darkness, I noticed that the wall seemed whiter than it should - at least where I placed the poster. "Never mind - it fell down already," I said. This is not to say that it is a bad product (all the time). Just know that it doesn't work in some cases.

Awkward and not a great value.,

Consider the way we used to hang posters with Scotch tape using the old tape donut trick. (Piece of tape rolled into a donut shape.) Why buy this product which gives you only 150" of a double sided tape for $5.50, when you can get Scotch® Magic(TM) Tape 3105, 3/4-inch x 300 Inches, 3-Pack for the same price? I don't really see how this tape is any more removable than the Magic Tape. The dispenser is also a bit awkward to use- for one, after tearing a section of tape off, be sure to carefully adhere the tape that remains on the roll to the small edge near the cutting blade or the backing paper will come off and flop around and make that section of tape useless. Second, when you go to tear a piece off, you almost have to hold the roll with one of your thumbs to make sure you don't tear off too much because it's difficult to roll back with the backing paper. You also pretty much need to hold your thumb over top of the tape/and blade when you go to tear it - due to the backing paper, it's too stiff and won't stick to the blade unless you hold it there.I guess in the end, I just find this to be an unnecessary product that doesn't appear to work any better than the old standby.

I don't know why I've resisted the double stick tape all this time. It's quite handy to have around. To test it out, I pulled off a piece to hang up my niece's artwork. I put it up on my front door, and changed my mind. I peeled it off with ease, and put it next to the office desk. Much better. The sticking power lasted, regardless of which surface it was on: both the wooden door (with a varnish finish), and the drywall. Best part is that the drywall and the door still have their finish intact.

Doesn't stick,

I would give it 0 stars if I could. I followed the instructions and wanted to tape up lightweight cardstock, about 7x10 in a page. The weight isn't the problem, though the tape should be able to hold such a small amount of weight. It just does not stick to the wall. I pressed down hard and it keeps coming up and the Alphabet Cards falling off the wall. Very irritating after I spent time spacing out the alphabet cards perfectly and arranging it just right, just to find 1/2 of them on the floor the next morning.

Only good for paper and tiny posters,

This stuff is useless for posters. I've tried to hang up four standard weight 24" x 36" posters with in the last several days, and they've all fallen down within a few hours. If you can find 3M's "black removable mounting tape" anywhere, buy that instead. Unfortunately 3M seems to have discontinued it, so back to putting holes in my walls or using packing tape I guess.

Don't buy this crap. It doesn't hold my posters up for more than 5 minutes. I've found that rolling regular tape and using that works much better than this.I may have different paint, or something. Either way, it doesn't work.

This is basically a two sided tape. It is a bit sticky and slightly irritating to tear, but it is holding up so far. I hung a calendar on my refrigerator and pictures so far. I had to use a lot for the calendar, but it was more weight than it was supposed to hold. The only negatives that I see are the fact that you don't know about the warnings until you have already ordered it. Things like :May damage poster upon removal. And :Not recommended for use on wallpaper, delicate surfaces or walls painted with flat paint. That should be in the product description. If I had wanted this for posters I would have been very disappointed.

I have been using this product for about a month now and, so far, have no complaints. I have used it to hang large paper items as well as items in plastic sleeves. Nothing has fallen or even come close to falling. I wanted to give the tape some time to really get stuck to both the wall and the paper to test removal before I reviewed it. Today, I removed an item (it was still stuck very tightly to the wall) and slowly peeled the tape off the back. It came off clean and didn't damage the paper in any way. It also didn't damage the wall at all. It really works exactly the way the manufacturer says it does and, for that, I have to give it five stars!
