These belts are of higher quality than the off-the-shelf belts at the chain hardware store and last longer.

I am not sure if will last 3x's as long as 'standard' belt ... which would justify the cost for these premium belts.

It's really no different than other belts as they have to be cleaned often during sanding; I use compressed air and works well but after some sanding, depending on the wood, need to put a new one on.

What can I say about sandpaper, except that it's easily accessible through amazon.com. No longer are we held hostage by the brick and mortar home improvement stores. And I love it.
