I used the 150-grit purple 3M abrasive to refinish oak floors with a Porter-Cable 360VS sander.

I view this abrasive as a real find:

Good removal. Even as a fairly fine abrasive it did a good job of smoothing on some problem areas in the oak.

Long lasting. It's somewhat subjective but, yeah, the ABRASIVE probably does last three times longer than other sandpaper. Possibly even better than that. But these BELTS (see next para) last even longer!

Doesn't tear up. I had a lot of problems with my previous belts coming apart at the joint. This was especially true if the belt hit an uneven place in the floor. After I went to this belt, no more problem with the belt separating at the joint. None.

Value. Previously I'd been using sanding belts from one of the Big Box stores. They were about the same money per belt in two paks as these belts were with Prime in five paks. But these last much longer and, frankly, do a smoother job. So on a dollar-for-dollar basis for me, these belts are a no-brainer. In fact, I've ordered another 5-pak to be sure I have these belts on hand.

I also used a more aggressive abrasive [...] from this same product line. The same points apply to that item as to this. A few additional review comments there.
