Excellent, Perfect for Mountain Bike Applications, September 6, 2011
This review is from: 3M 84904 ScotchgardTM Paint Protection Film, Strip, 4 in x 84 in
Just purchased a mountain bike and even though I have taken it out on the trails 3 times I began to notice scratches, dings, as well as the brake lines rubbing the paint off on the fork. The bike is not a museum piece and I realize it will get beat up, regardless I want to protect my investment as much as possible.
Didn't want to rap frame components with rubber or plastic and tie wraps and definitely did not want to glue anything on so I began searching for an alternative and then read a very positive review of this product from a mountain biking website and decided to give it a try.
This film works AMAZINGLY well!! It is completely clear and easy to apply. Once applied it is nearly invisible from even 2 or 3 feet away and you would be hard pressed to see it even if you were aware it is there since it does not have annoying branding or logos. From what I understand it is the same material used in the invisible bras applied to cars.
If you want to protect your MTB frame components from dings, scratches, etc. and want to preserve the original look, for strategic application THIS PRODUCT IS A MUST!!

Easy to install, Great Product, January 2, 2012
This review is from: 3M 84904 ScotchgardTM Paint Protection Film, Strip, 4 in x 84 in
I used this product on the bed rails of my truck, so that the camper shell doesn't scratch the paint when I slide it on. Over all the entire install time was about 30 minutes after i watch a 5 minute youtube video on how to install it.

Wow, October 30, 2011

This stuff is great. I wish I had knew about it years ago. I did the front edge of my truck hood, and have more on order to do the areas behind the rear wheel wells which always get scuffed up by mud, tar, and stones.
