5.0 out of 5 stars L M H spray adjustment
I stumbled across the spray adjustment and wanted to pass along the info. One the top of the can, there are the letters L M and H. If you point the nozzle to those, it will make the spray pattern a thin stream, a wider pattern, and a very wide pattern.

Good adhesive. We use it to put paper labels on plastic pails.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better

3M makes the best spray glue but this one is limited because of the spray form. It's not so much of a spray as it is a "goop" that shoots out. Nothing but a gooey mess this leaves you with. I guess I'm trying to say that it's not the best user friendly spray glue but it's strong. I can imagine this being fine for some type of lumberjack but not for my dainty little...

4.0 out of 5 stars A bit pricey, but does its job, November 6, 2007

This adhesive comes out as a frigid liquid on whatever you spray it over, and sets somewhere between one minute and half an hour after you spray it (depending on temperature and how well ventilated the area you sprayed is). I purchased it because it's hard to find anything that will bond polyethylene. Indeed, it does the job -- not superstrong, but good enough for my purposes, and better than the silicone caulk I was using. It's deceptively weak -- you start to pull it and it stretches, but the "stretch" doesn't like to give.

The downside is that it's expensive. I was assembling panels for extreme cold weather greenhouse insulation, three layers of bubble wrap thick plus an outer and inner barrier. Applying an extremely thin coating of adhesive on the inner area of the panels and an extra thick coating along the edges, a single can would bond perhaps 90% of an 8x8 layer. That adds up pretty quickly.

5.0 out of 5 stars When all other adhesives fail..., January 29, 2011
This review is from: 3M 90-24 Spray Adhesive 17.6-Ounce (Tools & Home Improvement)
This has been my rescue adhesive when all others won't stick. That's because this also bonds plastic and rubber. It fills voids in rough surfaces and it's elastic enough that it won't break loose from vibration. While at the same time - this is amazingly strong. I just used it to glue the edge of the rubber sole back on to my favorite leather shoes. I also used it to glue the rubber absorber onto the diving board concrete support, insulation onto metal ducts, and countless other home repair jobs. It gets dry enough so I don't have to hold the pieces together after about 5 minutes. The only thing this is not ideal for is precision assembly for tiny objects because of the powerful and wide spray pattern. However I must admit I've also used it that way while cleaning up the excess overspray.

This stuff works great! Coverage is not what you read, but about half. But all in all, works wonderfully well.

We bought it new and have kept it serviced properly. So I never imagined the interior cloth wouldn't be covered in our Jaguar's Warranty, but it isn't. When the fabric began to peel off on all four columns, and I found out they're not covered (even under the "Select Edition") I priced new ones. At $140 ea, that seemed a little pricey, even for Jaguar. So I found an interior repair specialist, his "repair" held about 4 months and left it looking worse than before. Really.

This is a beautiful car, but to have 6 inches of fabric fluttering in the breeze, on all four corners of the interior every time you put your windows down... well you get the picture.

I did a lot of homework to find this product, now let me recommend it to you whole heartedly. I followed the directions for an, extra strong hold, exactly, and it really has performed.

I used masking tape and newspaper to protect what I didn't want glued, just as if I were spray painting. I did end up using a little too much glue, so some seeped through the fabric, but you would have to look at just the right spot to see it, and it is A LOT better than the fabric flapping in the breeze!

So, the glue performed as expected. It was easy to use, and saved me $500. Nuff said, I think.

I got it to adhere new material to the headliner in my '83 GTI. The stuff worked perfectly. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful for binding large surfaces, and faster.

Not sure if it is more cost effective, though, since a quart size of the weldwood contact cement gel is much less expensive.

If you are in a hurry this product is the best. It also may be less toxic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive, but great glue, December 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 3M 90-24 Spray Adhesive 17.6-Ounce (Tools & Home Improvement)
I've bought a few cans of this and for spray on glue it's very good. Works a bit like contact cement- spray on, leave for a few minuets until it goes tacky and then stick both surfaces together. I originally bought it because I needed to glue some rubber flooring down, but it didn't work fantastically well (mainly because the rubber has a high oil content), but it certainly worked better than any other glue I've tried. On most surfaces it works really well- this is a great go to glue for quick repairs and sticking pretty much anything (as long as it doesn't need to weight bear).

I guess I'm trying to say that it's not the best user friendly spray glue but it's strong. I can imagine this being fine for some type of lumberjack but not for my dainty little arts and crafts I do. I tried most other spray glues but 3M is usually the way to go.
