I have been using the Filtrete Room Air Conditioner filters for three years and these are great. I cut the filters to fit with the inner AC filter-screen. Tape down and that is it. The amount of dust, dirt and pollution it collects so that it is not re-circulated inside is amazing. I had always suspected that there was dust and pollution circulating, but I had no idea. I could actually feel a difference. Now, I change them out every summer although the instructions say every two months. This is a must have so I stock up on them to save on shipping. I think the Filtera web-site is slightly cheaper if you buy in bulk and it has a $1 shipping promiotion on orders. Highly encourage you to buy once you see how much dirt it collects and how much cleaner your air-conditioned air is after a summer.

I knew the screen filter on my window unit was not adequate filteration for dust, etc so I decided to give Filtrete Room Filter a try. It works great! I've noticed a difference in the dust in the house. (No central air.) It has been three weeks and the filter looks pretty gross so I guess I'll be changing it fairly frequent. Also, I was able to cut one filter to fit two units: 5K BTU + 12K BTU.

My family lives in a 1920s bungalow without central air and heat. My son and I have been having atrocious allergies, so I ordered these filters. They were easy to install, and I was able to use two packages to filter three window units, as one of them is small. The first thing I noticed is that the back window unit, which normally smells musty when it is turned on, had no smell whatsoever. We turned on the window units at night, on fan, to filter the air. The next morning, everyone's allergies were gone. I cannot recommend this product highly enough for people who don't have central air. These inexpensive little filters are vastly superior to the freestanding HEPA air filter we have, that is for sure!

Well I received my Filtrete Filter. It's working great. The air seems to be flowing better, but the filter catches so much MORE crud than the factory manufactured one that came with the AC. The AC is an oldie but has been working for 12 years, and (knock on wood) works as well as it ever did on day one. Back to the filter, ever so pleased. It's been just under a week, so maybe there might be more updates if it is any less satisfactory in the future. right now...FIVE STARS!

buy these filters. The stock filter that comes with most window air conditioners can't compare. The amount of dust they capture is amazing.

I was expecting to receive a 15x24 inch standard AC filter with the cardboard edges. However, this product is just a 15x24 inch piece of paper that arrives folded over on itself 4 times in a tiny box despite what the picture looks like (and, actually, upon closer inspection of the picture on this site you can see that it's a small little box by the ratio of box size to the size of the hole on top of the box that you hang the box from in the store). If I could turn back the hands of time, I'd save my money and buy a real AC filter and not an over-sized paper towel.

These filters are easy to fit.
We use them for every window unit in the house, mostly the large 220 we have in the kitchen. Every time I change it, it is more than obvious the filter is doing what it should.
This is my third order; this time I made sure to buy three boxes.

It's a piece of junk....I thought it comes in big boxes but to my surpise it's very small...photos are deceiving.
