Excellent glare reducer used by someone in my office who is bothered by glare. Somewhat reduces the brightness of the screen, but if it's really the glare of an overhead light or something that bothers you, you'll be delighted with it. Definitely a great item, works well.

But just a word of caution:

Installation is extremely simple once you figure it out... The problem is the installation sheet, which is so awful it is laughable. Some things are translated into about 8 languages, but not the assembly / installation instructions, which are a basically unmarked set of small diagrams (so you have to figure out for yourself that they're the installation instructions!) What's more, these diagrams are so poorly done, that it never explains (a) that one set of clips should be installed for flat-screen monitors, and another set of clips for regular CRT-type monitors, (b) nor does it properly tell you or show you how to orient that second-type of clip. So, I ended up attaching the wrong clips, in the wrong orientation, and after they'd snapped into place, couldn't get them off without hacking away at it with a screwdriver.

That said, once you've picked the correct set of clips and put it on the monitor properly, it'll simply rest on your monitor under the force of gravity, but the rubbery pad of the clips will keep them from slipping.

Incidently, this is being used in our office in conjunction with a Kantek "adjustable monitor visor" selling for around $20 also on Amazon. If you buy this item too, it's best to first put the anti-glare screen on, and then put the visor on over that -- and you may wish to have a strip of double-sided tape to help lift the visor up just a bit because of the position of the anti-glare-screen's "clips". The two together make a fairly good pair of items, although putting on atop the other doesn't look like it's the most stable thing in the world.

Just the quality that you can expect from 3M, a perfect choice to protect your eyes.

The same thing happened to me that happened to a few other reviewers. I received the item promptly and the box was undamaged. However, upon opening and removing one of the pieces of styrofoam that hold the filter, the glass was completely shattered, only being held in place by the film that is stuck on it to protect it from scratches.

I returned it for a refund. As usual, no problems from Amazon, but I wouldn't risk ordering this again. Obviously the packing just isn't up to the job.

Love the item I received and will continue to order from this company again.

I used to have a smaller anti-glare before from Kensington which was made of fiber and it was really good and inexpensive. But we got bigger monitors at workplace and I couldn't find the Kensingtons models anymore so I got this. This is glass and probably that's why it's pricey. It is also heavy and anti-glare wise it's same like the other one I had. One difference though is that it's hard to get the finger prints off this. I had no problem with the other one.
