I am a computer user and like most computer users. We purchase compressed or "canned air" to clean dust out of a keyboard and clean dust out of our computer cases. Myself like 99.99% of people use this product for what it was intended for. We do not abuse it. However, 3M has taken it upon themselves to place a bittering agent into their product. Which doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I never plan on abusing this product. I spray my keyboard and computer out as normal. Then I notice a horrible bitterness in my mouth and throat. As soon as this product comes out of the can it creates a plume of bitterness that envelopes you. I highly recommend staying away from this product. The bitterness lasts far long after the product has been used even if it is only a three second spray to clean off a keyboard. People will walk into the area nearly an hour later and complain of the horrible bitterness taste in their mouth. I respect 3Ms attempt to stop inhalant abuse, but myself a non-drug user, non-whippet user, I can think of about 10 other products that offer the whippet effect and do not charge nearly as much as 3M does for a can of compressed air. I personally feel if someone is abusing inhalants they are going to go the cheapest route possible. I have completely stopped using this product and moved onto other compressed airs that do not have bittering agents in them. I live in an older dustier home. I just want to clean the dust out of my keyboard and computer, I do not want to feel like I'm being gassed during some type of chemical warfare.

We use compressed air dusters quite often in a fairly busy office; mainly for cleaning electronic equipment, and computers. They also come in handy for general dusting, and getting dirt out of tight spaces.

These are the worst of any brand we've used so far. They're weak and provide barely enough force when it comes to cleaning heavy dust out of a Computer tower. With these, we've found its really necessary to get the straw right up against the surface you need to clean.

We've had really good luck with the Perfect Duster by Perfect Data which is the strongest and longest lasting of any of the brands we've tried.

A former employer of mine used to buy this crap to clean the computers with and I loathed it. It contains a bitterant which is meant to keep people from abusing the product to get a cheap high, but the bitterant in this particular brand of dust remover lingers in the air after using it (as intended) and would make my tongue and lips numb. Look elsewhere unless you enjoy losing all feeling in your mouth.

3M does you a dis-service with this can. I've used compressed air cans for years in offices as well as in my home office and i noticed immediately that the air that comes out of this can is weaker than any others i've tried.... far weaker. The whole point of the compressed air is to blow particles off surfaces and out of nooks'n'crannies (like the debris in your keyboard), but this can falls short, leaving particles on the surfaces i'm trying to clear.

I also see much more spray emitted from this can than i've seen out of others. The instructions say to, "Always hold container upright to avoid spraying liquid". Regardless of how vertical i hold the thing i get spray on average one out of 3 sprays. I got this can b/c of a Staples coupon (not on Amazon), but i'm tossing this full can and buying another generic dust remover today.

I would suggest based on the current price here of nearly $20 you shop around for this product, because I can get this same 3-pack for less than $10 at the local big box warehouse. I like this product for the simple purpose that it gets the dust out of my notebook fans, keyboard and all other sorts of electronic equipment with ease and little fuss. At least twice a year I tear-down most all of my electronic items, tv, monitor, DVD/sound system, etc. to give them a good cleaning and using this compressed air really helps get the dust out.

Clearing dust out of electronic fans can help the devices run more efficiently and help extend their lives. If you own a notebook computer and haven't used compressed air to clean it out, try it and see how much dust your computer has been harboring, you will be shocked. Using this product to clear dust can even help the computer run cooler too.

I was disappointed with 3M Dust Remover. Considering it's a brand name product, I expected a stronger spray than the product I used previously. The spray works. It's just weaker than I'd like. I had to spray a bit more and longer than I usually do just to clean out the insides of my computer case. Perhaps the bittering agent affects the spray power. As a side note, I use this as directed and the bittering agent did not have any effect on me. I did not taste it in the air nor feel any tingle in my mouth.

I like that the nozzle head has a storage area for the little straw so I don't lose it. Other than that, I'm not too excited by 3M and probably won't buy it again.

Living in the Arizona desert can create a lot of DUST. Even though I clean and dust my home weekly I generally wind up with a thin layer of dust on the furniture. Upon receiving a call from unexpected company, I grab my 3M dust remover and start spraying the living room and dining room furniture and within seconds everything looks clean. I also recommend the 3M Dust Remover for the PC, printer and accessories.
