We've been running two of these units at home for six months now. The amount of garbage they pull out of the air is amazing. The unit is reasonably quiet on setting 2 and much too loud on 3. I'm not sure it is moving enough air on setting 1 to accomplish much.

The only disappointment is the high price of the filters -- if you can find them. Online sources are much more reasonable, but availability seems spotty. I'm hoping this will improve moving forward.

These filters work great in the 3M units which are MUCH better than ionizer air filters. The big problem people have with using the air purifiers is filter replacement costs.

At my Practical, Healthy Stuff blog, I detail how to make the Filtrete filters really last! Basically, you attach the inexpensive, carbon prefilters from Honeywell (available here on Amazon) to the filter with velcro tape. These carbon filters are the exact right size, and they capture larger dust and gunk, as well as filter out chemicals and odors.

Oh yeah, like they say here, vacuum each regularly and you may get over a year's use from them!

i could not find this item any place in my town found it on amazon and had it in a few day's , any time i order from amazon i recieve what i order in about a week or less and i live in alaska. i have never been disapointed with any item price wise or otherwise.

they do what they suppose to do but are expensive but worth every penny.i have a unit in each of my kids room and you cant put a price on health. these are good and durable and way better then the cheap inexpensive ones that are sold. i recommend just wish they were cheaper and available in store like they use to be

I bought a Filtrete purified a while back and have had to change out the filters several times. The filters work great for about 5-6 months and then get dirty quickly. I think that is the only downfall to the system, they work great until they get clogged up and you have to buy another semi-expensive system. I get the feeling that these will be phased out in the near future and then ill have to look for a system with a permanent filter. Get them while you can though, they work great when they are clean!

The is a great product. We use our air filter all the time. This is easy to use and replace.

over more than a year of using this filter, I am convinced this thing works well. it has collected a lot of dust including floating in my room. I can see chunks of that stuff sitting in the filtering medium.

Perfect fit for our Filtrete. Came in perfect condition as always. Filter fits the unit with ease.

Thank goodness that Amazon supplies this product because it is otherwise very hard to find.

We needed a filter for our air cleaner and this is the best site we were able to find. They are a little expensive for our machine but we are the ones who chose this machine without looking into filters.
