I have been a woodworker for over 25 years. This 3-M face mask is very versitle, and depending on the cartridge that you buy, will filter out any harmful particulants. I use the cartridge designed for dust. I've tried several masks over the years, and the 3-M mask is also the most comfortable I've used to date.

If you are a woodworker, painter, or hazzardous material handler, this is the mask for you.

I am now semi-retired, and after years of smoking far too much (I quit 6 years ago) I have lung problems. My lung capacity is somewhat diminished, and I tend to get lung infections very easily.

Over the years I have used many different face masks. From paper to actual repirators. Most masks either don't filter out much, or they are so hard to breathe through that one soon takes it off.

Remember SARS? At the time I was living in Europe managing the European division of an American food company. It was not out of the ordinary at all to see people wearing surgical or paper mechanics masks trying to protect themselves.

This 3M Series 6000 can be fitted with various filters. From ones that keep out particles to ones which actually trap organic vapors. And it is real easy to breathe through!!

This mask was recommended by my lung specialist doctor. I concur with his recommendation. And it is not expensive either.

Try this with the pink set of P100 filters - best I've ever used. It's the only half mask I've tried. Less that $20.00 for the set of mask and filters caused me to try it after many disappointments with various types of dust masks costing up to twice as much. I'll never switch as long as this is available. I bought four sets of the filters and they should last a LONG time - rough turned about 40 green wooden bowls over three days and noticed no decrease in filter efficiency with the first set. I couldn't even smell what kind of wood I was turning. BEST EVER.

I got this face piece on the next to the last day of my welding class so I got to use it for those 2 days and am still using it at home when I am welding it really works great in filtering out the dust from grinding, welding, and also the dust from the slag that is produced from cleaning the weld. All I can say is that it is a great asset to my welding class and also when I am doing wood working in my shop

I've used this respirator every time I mix hazardous chemicals, and since I'm still alive, by utilizing the scientific method, I can safely claim with some degree of accuracy that it works 100% of the time!

I have owned two of the 3M 6000 respirators. They work great except for one thing, the head strap wears out before anything else. I keep having to buy entirely new respirators because I cannot find replacement head straps. This facepiece has the head strap attached, at one third of the cost of a new respirator. I switched out the charcoal filters from my old respirators, and I am in business! Great product.

This item came and I took it out. There were no punctures in the bag or package it came in. It fit me well, no complaints.

The fit is is pretty tight as you test it by inhaling and closing off the filter connections. So there aren't any air leaks. So I'm pretty confident that this respirator works well.

I can now walk around and say, 'Luke, I am your father' with out any issues, while I am doing my projects.
