The idea of this product is that you can wear it under a helmet, and when you want to remove the mask, you can disconnect the stray from the bottom and the mask will drop down off your face with the top stray still on top of your head; hence, keeping the whole assembly hanging on the head. Then you can talk or drink water without removing it or going through the trouble of removing the helmet and then the mask. Putting the mask back is just as easy as reconnecting the lower stray to the back of the neck and re-adjusting the mask.
Honestly this is more than I need because I don't wear a helmet. Still this is a good way of disconnect the neck stray and removing it from my head. This is surely better than the one from MSA (sold in Home Depot) that doesn't have a way to disconnect the neck stray and has to stretch to the maximum limit in order to pull it off my head (and I have a big head). |
