This bag has an elastic around the opening and seals the dust better then the Hoover brand vacuum bags.

These bags are a must have if you are someone who does a lot of different things to keep the air in your home the cleanest it can be. I have never seen these in any store, have looked in many different stores in my area. I only knew they existed because of the info included with my vacuum cleaner. The larger size (and they still fit perfect) allows you to continue vacuuming without stopping to remove pet hair from the top of the bag, as I've had to do using other types of bags. Reading the reviews of this product before I bought it were very helpful to me, so please read the other reviews, too.

Very nice bag. Really appeciate the latex fitting--easy to put in and stays securely. And I don't notice any dust in the air now, no matter what I'm vacuuming. Would have given it 5 stars, except that the bag is a very square shape, whereas my Windtunnel vacuum (which uses Y bags) has a taller, narrower bag compartment than this bag, so the bag doesn't hold as much as it could, and I end up changing it earlier than I otherwise would. Chances are though, if you are paying $4 for a vacuum bag, you probably value your air quality more than you are looking for a bag that holds the most dirt per dollar. My wife's asthma used to flare up after I vacuumed; now it does not. :-)

The bags came quickly and were exactly what I ordered. They operate just fine as far as I'm concerned although I haven't used any other bags to have a more critical eye.

These bags last much longer than any I have ever purchased before and do a better job of keeping the dirt in the bag where it belongs!

The 3M bags are very high quality and easier to install & remove than cheaper no-name versions. HEPA bags really make a positive difference in a pollen infested region where we live. OEM bags are always good, but not usually competitively priced.

I got this for my New Hoover Upright vaccum, after used up the original Hoover bag came with the vaccum, i purchased this two pack based on Amazon reviews. I used it for about 3 weeks (vaccuming about 6 to 7 times of two small rooms, and the bag is not even 1/4th full), it started smelling while doing vaccum and lost suction significantly. The original bag came with hoover worked for me for almost 3 months and never smelled and never lost suction. dont but it, either but Hoover original bag or cheap bags so that you dont feel bad to toss them as soon as they loose suction or starts smelling.

Update Apr 11'2011: i got the hoover bags made by hoover, i know they were smaller than the 3M bags, but they also had the same smell issue. when compared both, next time i will go with 3M, changing from 2 stars to 5 as this could be the best product available for this model.
